Perhaps there is some confusion here. The machine although shown in an Electrocoin cabinet, is not the proconn version it's a Scorpion2.

You can see the cabinet isn't right as in attract mode it shows the Cancel button should be on the left.

I'm guessing the rom used on the SMN layouts probably came from a MKI Electrocoin cabinet originally, because that cabinet has the cancel button on the far-left; but I've never seen a SMN in a MKI cabinet so I'm not sure.

Nice to see a  big up to Pook.

Dr Who, was one of my favourite machines back in the day.

Agreed!  Good to see an acknowledgement for one of the best DX'ers the scene has ever had.  Long may it continue :)

No problem, mate. :)

Didn't take that long to be honest.  Adding the extra great sound effects Wizard added to MFME is pretty straightforward thankfully.

The reason that particular DX has stood the test of time is mainly down to the artwork used, which came from Leeham originnally.  He provided me with glass scans which make the layout stand-out; even today.  So massive thanks must go to him as well. :)

By the way.  I also did some of the other machines you mentioned in your post above as well.  Linx, Tristar and Winning Streak.  If you don't have them already, they should be at fruit-emu, or the Mecca.

O yes i have download them bad boys great machines back in the day and great DX's Just like to say thanks for those.

A thank you to Pook for his Monopoly Takeover layout, and also for his revisiting of his back catalogue with MFMEV6 updates.

Have to agree, but if it wasn't for pook i dont think i would have known about MFME at all. Going back some years now,i googled a fruit machine and came across pook's site, and for weeks kept going back to look at these(at the time i thought was just pictures) and i downloaded 1,opened the zip file to find a load of files thinking what the F**k are these for, after some homework found MFME fruit emu, That was it. I was HOOKED  and never looked back, so many thanks pook.

Oh please no, don't cheapen the vids with 'shout-outs'

J

You don't like the stickman and stickgirl on Stop and Steps vids?

I'll probably be mentioned on the FM History at some point.........

I've watched the first two parts, with joy and sadness.  Mainly from my own perspective.  Started out as nice, then some became a bit of a cunt,  and now got a lot older, and trying not to be a cunt anymore, and enjoy it for what it is.  What I or we didn't forsee, as others like myself, became cunts, a lot of the nice people, just left.  I really miss some of the old school crowd.

Chopley has asked for some interaction from members about the history videos, so I'm sure your 3 seconds of fame could still happen. xD

Those who are interested in FME, would never leave, the scene has never completely disbanded or stood completely still.

I reckon, many old members are still around, but a lot just don't contribute anything. We also have the dippers, who, dip in and out of emulation projects. I for instance look at lots of emulation projects on and off, but never post anything anywhere, just download and play.

We've also seen some people come back, then not post on forums, for months or even over a year. For instance an old time member, who was enthusiastic on The Mecca in early February, but hasn't even visited the site for over a month. Perhaps for them, getting back into FME wasn't all that it seemed cracked up to be after all.

Well although a scene relies on all sorts of people, ie there's the ones that talk, and the ones that do.  Whilst I miss a combination of both, ie talk  VB, Echo, Rogue, mufcmufc, Renoufchr, that lad who has Synesthia, MrsVB, Chopleys missus etc, I also miss the ones that did stuff, ie Daysleeper, DT, El C, Re-Animator, Wayfinder, Retrofruiit, Fruitsim, MDS, Pandy, Gary, Cheese.  More modern designers have come and gone, Robinhood, Ross, Tommy and Ploggy don't do so much anyway.   The list isn't complete, just the ones I could think of.  Others I don't miss at all, Skizzo, Ranting Maniac, and the ones that were more crackers than me.

Also lest we forget some that can't comeback as well.

I also miss me from 2001/2002, or is that thinking too deep?

People say you shouldn't have regrets, in FME alone, I've loads.

NQ.

It's not the fact i don't do much anymore. I have a job with long hours with unsociable working hours, then i literally have two days to fit family time in unless I'm off work. If my job was different  I'd be knocking layouts out every other day like i used to.

Also i dont pick the easiest of layouts to do most of the time,so they take time. Anyone can grab a digital scan and lamp it and release it within a few hours   :D

Like me lol, well not all the time, some of what appear to be simple can infact be the hardest, it all depends if everything falls into place.

This went up yesterday, may not be of much interest as it's one of my old online slots sessions. (From April 2014.)

There'll be a new video online tomorrow at some point, although uploading 7.5GB is no laughing matter. Our VDSL is 80meg down but only 2meg up, I just set it going overnight and hope for the best.

This is probably one of the funniest videos you have done mate .  10 / 10, absolutely brilliant watching failure beyond failure.

If you were ever to go to hell, you'd have to do that jumping game with lemon trees followed by the shooting one on an endless loop and not what happended on Day 2...

You ask about your major failure around the 37min mark.  I would say drink...

Cheers Reg, it was a bit of a comedy of errors really, I cut an awful lot of footage out (there was about 2 1/2 hours of raw footage) and reduced the second half down to my increasingly horrible disasters as more and more small sherries were consumed.

In a way I was glad I persevered with it so long as it forced me to get my act together for the revenge session the next day. (There was no way I was going to stop before I had the £20 out of it.)

I still can't make my mind up on mouse or trackball either, something about the trackball just feels slightly 'off' to me but without a real Mating Game to compare things to it's very hard to say for sure.

I might have a crack at Crystal Maze next :D

Not emulation related but it's on the channel.....

My first new online casino session video for four years. (This is NOT a reupload, it is a new video.)

Here I examine the controversial slot 'BONANZA' by Big Time Gaming and express my opinions on it.

PLEASE NOTE - There is a commentary maths error at 26m57s and 28m11s, the correct figure is £9,600,000 and not £9,960,000. I only noticed this after I'd finished editing the video together, rendered it out, and kicked off the upload. (Small sherries had been consumed at the time of filming.)
