All good mate! Just taking a step back due to drama on here of late and lack of moderation, it was starting to stress me out but I still enjoy your thread and following the progress of the project!

I know I'm not really meant to be posting any more but this could well be important especially with the project well underway etc. The horizon cabinet I thought was Barcrest's "bubble" or "ribbed Johnny" cabinet that has games like "take it or leave it £70" The eclipse cabinet is the one you find housing BFG and most rebuilds in pubs these days. It's the most common cab used at the moment, although some use the blueprint style Pluto 6 cab that I'm not sure on the name of. They're very similar to the eclipse cabs anyway except the top plastic where the logo usually is, is thicker, and it looks like they've patched up where a notey was expected to be on the bottom right of the top door under the reel glass.

Yeah haha it tickled me anyway! Is it worth having the user select where to dump the machine? Thinking rollercoaster tycoon where you pick say a merry-go-round and it gives you it as a transparent image to place somewhere? Would make adding multiple units in one go a ball ache though I guess

MFTB is usually on the bottom glass to be fair. Apart from the odd hi/lo dond game, the one I can think of with the most on the top glass is probably banker's bonus. It has Bank it, Swap Box, Message (lol typical), Play DOND, Deal, No Deal, Take Streak. Most just have Play DOND, Deal, No Deal and Cash or Bust on the top glass.

It may also be worth resetting the laptop to factory defaults and turning off all the not needed windows 10 stuff. I did have a script to do this but it needs updating. I did this on @pilsburydoughman's old laptop and it made it run scorpion 5 games slightly better (although they still weren't exactly playable but it was a fair bit lower spec than yours)

Are coin pushers even emulated? lol... although would be nice to see them even as a prop if it can be done?

If you are replacing the CPU get some thermal paste as well. Those pads in some laptops are crap. As A:E says, it would help if we knew exactly what model your laptop is.

How much RAM does the laptop have? May show in the memory tab. May also be advisable to wack a SSD in as well if it's running on a standard hard drive. You may not need to upgrade anything else with the difference SSDs make and you can get them from 20 quid upwards depending what size you want.

To be honest I wouldn't bother, any Cpu you can upgrade it to you'd probably not notice any benefit and if you got windows 10 on it then it'd run like lol
