Ugh, well got the new router, got it up and running with a few PCs, and it didn't make any difference :/

I've now spotted that I don't have Perforce service running on the server, assumed Helix was enough but apparently not when compared to dev PC

Fed up with this now - it stopped working after BT guy swapped out the router, and I must have spent over 6 hours trying to get it working again.  Hate networking stuff, going to have to take a break for a few days - I just want to get back to the actual work, but I can't, so everything's on hold.

A break sounds good, you've been on it from the getgo.

Shout out to @Zippy who has provided a bunch of overall cabinet dimensions for cabinet models planned for the future - thanks very much man! :)

Added to the CabinetsV2 sheet in the Fruit Machine Database (link in sig), and will be used to tune overall proportions of 3d models so everything looks 'right' relative to each other.

I'll pass the thanks on to you know who;)

Will be a good Xmas this year eh John;):D

Some more early WIP screenshot of the tool, now showing the reel images, and got a first stage grouping, a simple 'exact match'.

    A couple of examples:

Very clear one where no overlays on the symbols, number reels, so on the right, marked in purple box, you can see just the 'Unique Exactly matching' symbols (across all the reels):
    image.thumb.png.7ddee475bec882b3a79eb00bc1b7c664.png

And then a little more 'messy', here's Andy Capp - where there is an overlay symbol/text, the reel is counted again in the simple first pass of grouping (I have plans to allow further grouping, by detecting overlay symbol data to exclude from comparison):

    A few more:

    image.thumb.png.bcbb7360417b039a6425e4ebd2fd7e6c.png

Got Mr S1300i working its bollocks off, there is nothing like having two to three hundred reel bands offloaded on you to scan. What a fantastic machine and well worth the price I paid (brand new);)

Just been reading through this thread and as a casual gamer very interesting to read about the methods of 'playing' the machines. Did the videos ever get reuploaded as I still dont understand what was being done to aid winning?

    Thanks

There is no intention to re-upload, they have all been deleted some time ago, I do not supply content here anymore.

Yes, several posts got deleted. Its not really anyones place to question how and why Chris gave mfme to the masses for free.

I agree, forget questioning of reality, just get on with, digging up old posts seems to be a common issue with some!!

It OK all good I have worked it out how sad is that it was because I had switched the screen from portrait to landscape then opened  mfme and it was off the screen lol

You sure it wasn't one of those four, the one on the left is acting very suspiciously.

One more note - I found a video of the real machine:

So it does seem to be working as per the real machine, whoever has a bash at making a layout with the above patched rom will prob have to figure out what button that is (and if the button is inverted), or if one of the DIP switches toggles 'autoplay' - have fun! :)

I fail to see what excitement you can get from this, reminds me of a fruit machine with no hold/nudge buttons. If this is pure skill and you are skilled enough you could empty it but what happens % wise? If you pressed the button all they way every time for a £100 of credits would it still pay (in other words if a complete plank played it and lost would it force itself to pay)? If it is a true skill machine then it wouldn't.

Also if this could play in MFME you'd need a cab, a space bar ain't gonna cut it.

Hi All, apologies to hijack this thread - but I have the exact same issue as the OP.

I have downloaded the Arcade Simulator and installed everything - I can navigate around the arcade and when I press "Enter" to play a game it simply doesn't load - i've waited 20-30 mins just to be sure but alas... nothing.

I'm so excited to try this and the work that has gone into making this happen is tremendous - big thanks to johnparker007 for this and thanks to all the contributors who made this happen.

I have followed the bits mentioned so far in this thread, tried the games mentioned (non load), tried disabling turbo startup...

Am I doing something wrong? Anything I can provide to assist? Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Cheers,

All I can suggest is make sure windows is fully up-to-date other than that you'll need @johnparker007

I remember Electrocoins Mr Do!   A fairly rare machine I’d say.  We had one locally but it was only ever set to 5p £6 tokens.  It played tight on this stake but to be fair when you finally managed to get a feature it pretty much offered something decent.

I too would to have a play on this again!!

    J

You sure you didn't empty that after all you've covered the market with everything else;)

Looks decent…  why didn’t you just go bigger on your pcie SSD?, you’ve fitted a 1tb sata mechanical drive?  Was it an overall cost thing?

    J

Honestly mate I didn't have a bloody clue but having honest loyal mates seriously helped so let them get on with it.

I knew if I had of waited any longer that GC would of doubled in price. In the end I drove up Norf to that wonderful bastard, picked up the machine and had a few beers. A fucking great memorable day!!

I run AS on my mamecab, when I built my cab I got the motherboard and CPU i5 2500k for £45 quid and it already had 8gb ram fitted.  I did spend just over £100 on this second hand GPU recently, the GTX 980 is still a bit of a beast !!

I don’t notice any difference on my work PC which has an RTX 3080!

    J

    Impressive!!

    What I wasn't happy about was spending £812 on a graphics card but had to meet the specs below;

Corsair Case, Thermaltake 600w PSU, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, DDR4 2666Mhz Ram - 16GB, 256gb SSD NVMe M.2, 1TB Storage Sata Drive Western Digital, Razor Mouse & Keyboard.

Has multi cooling fans to cool me down in the summer;) but want an addition 10tb WD Hard drive put in it (I have my reasons;))

With GPU+CPU intensive applications like this one, you can never have too much power - a 'NASA PC' is a good thing to have! :)

You know how much I spent but it is well worth the investment not only to run smooth but not get frustrated, see many comments on this thread with members having issues only because a lot of older systems either have a slower processing rate or cannot keep up with the times. I for one am very passionate on a 50/50 basis with MFME/AS and don't want any blips, it is you, Serene, Slasher and PCPFan who have advised me well, now all I am waiting for is some emptiers in the arcade so chop chop🤣😉
