  1. Hi Joept87: I recently completed a table top arcade/pinball/Fruit Machine and yes you can light the buttons that need to be used for each game. Using LEDBlinky not only can you light the correct light but it can also speak the command for each button. You should be able to use your current button controller and you will need a pacdrive. The following link from this site will give you lots of good information on getting all of this to work. I will also add a couple of pictures of my machine. I use Launchbox/Bigbox as a front end, have been really happy with it. Good luck on your build!! https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/topic/11978-table-top-controller/#comment-97671
  2. Thanks for your terrific answer to this. It was great of you to help. Hopefully many folks will find it and be able to fix their volume issue.
  3. Just in case someone wants to know how to use MPR_Five's process and light a button that is not defined within the game. The following worked well for me to keep the quit and coin buttons lit all the time.
  4. In answer to my own question I found there is a method to light a button that is not defined by the game. I have attached the PacDrive config that I used to light the quit and coin buttons. Hopefully this will help someone in the future. I will also attempt to post this in the thread where MPU_five explained how to configure/program the PacDrive.
  5. Last fall I built a pinball cabinet and that got me started down the path of building a Fruit machine/arcade/pinball cabinet. I have been working on it for quite some time. I am running Bigbox as the front end and have each emulator working well. It is not complete but I am getting closer. I ordered a PacDrive on the day that Royal Mail's international shipping got hacked and after 5 long weeks it finally arrived. A huge THANK YOU to MPU_FIVE for his excellent step by step guide to programming it. He went above and beyond with detailed descriptions and pictures, super helpful. There is noway I would have figured it out. I have the buttons lighting up as they should. I have a quit/exit button that I would like to have lit up whenever someone is playing a game, is there some method to light a button that is not defined within the game? I don't mind going into each game to configure them but I have no idea how to do this. I could simply hot wire the button but I would prefer it to work with the Fruit Games. I also want to say thanks to all the members of this site, both current and past that have taken the time to write/answer forum posts, you have no idea how helpful it has been to be able to search and get lots of help and ideas. As I said, not quite done, the keyboard is still my prototype (after moving on from the cardboard box). I have 12 buttons on the top defined for MFME, I also use one of the front buttons as the coin button. I use the same coin button for everything. Forgot to mention the monitor 24 inches. Not a touch screen but it looks and works great.
  6. Outstanding!! Very neat and looks great. You should be proud of that.
  7. Once again THANK YOU!!! This worked perfect, the volume settings are remembered for each game they are set for, terrific. Also the part about the tips.txt file was enlightening. Somehow I had never noticed that file, lots of good things in there. SOUNDS Pressing shift + , will turn the emulator volume up and shift - down. In the installation folder of MFME, is a tips.txt file, with lots of shortcut information.
  8. WOW,, Thanks for the help !! Somehow I missed this in my searching.
  9. Is there a way to edit files to increase or decrease volume levels? I am working on building a fruit machine and having games with inconsistent volume levels is bothersome. I looked around in the editor and nothing jumped out at me but then again I have no idea what I am doing. I have been able to figure out button assignments and a few other minor things but volume escapes me. Thanks for your help!!
  10. Your touchscreen working along side your keyboard looks great
  11. Wow, you did a great job of cleaning up the wiring. Looks super.
  12. Looks terrific. Can't believe how quickly you are moving. I am gathering the pieces to start on my fruit machine but unlike yours mine will not have the ability to accept money. Like your video with the coins, being from the US I have never seen pound or pence coins. Hopefully Royal Mail will recover and before too long I will get my PacDrive. Not in a huge hurry since I still need other parts but it would be nice/fun to start figuring out that piece. Good luck on your build!!
  13. Attempted to watch your video but YouTube said it was set to private.
