  1. I always used to think "Who the fucks Des?" @johnparker007 Looking really good this!
  2. Spent yesterday with my two fluff bundles. Seal point Birman, and Tortie Birman. both little monkeys. Last night; usual Saturday night, curry and music. Not doing much today, looking out the window watching the traffic on the ECML, waiting for the 37 later. Norwegian Forest, wow, that must take some brushing with a coat like that!
  3. This is cool as. It's like looking over someones shoulder giving them advice, like a dick.
  4. I'm bamboozled by this. I first thought it was a video of a real machine. Excellent stuff!!!
  5. Made a note in my diary today, it simply reads "bugger". Thanks for the endless support and dats you've given for the last 20 years.
  6. @Reg You missed out "@niallquinn talking indeterminable bollocks." Be good to see the mpu2 layouts if possible! Did someone say Chris had every mpu3 machine in his house apart from OddsOn? Can't remember where I saw it...??
  7. @wearecityGood post mate, spot on
  8. Some good posts there, I've nothing to add really, I'll go with whatever the family decides to do, or whatever we as a group decide. I heard someone say it would be a shame if MFME wasn't to continue somehow, and I thought well yes of course, but I'd rather it didn't if it meant it comes out as a released product (Does that make sense?), rather than a fan / community based one. (You may have noticed for the last 20 years, I always end my posts with "NQ", it was always out of courtesy, like signing your name at the end of a letter. Well he asked me once why, so when we got the news, I retired it.)
  9. Those you have been around a long time, may be aware, that earlier versions of 9.4.9.9 10.1a were leaked, I was given them, I passed them out. Earlier versions were leaked by others. Chris knew this. So when he asked for beta testers I thought he's going to still think we're cunts and ignore me. But he didn't, he seamed this new MFME as a rebirth and everything under the bridge. Big man to say that. This were the first build with the new DX draw code, so I stuck to one tech only to test. SC5. My playing showed, with a help from the debug sysyem load, that it was way too high, causing slowdowns on SC5 and especially SC5 Adder video. Leave it with him, day later, try this. All fixed. Other than a few coding chats about reverse engineering, never got to know him. Some of us are vocal about what we do, where we're from, jobs, kids or whatever. He nenver seemed to boast or want the limelight. He seemed to be a very private man, and I respect that. That's my little write up, not a great believer myself, but if we ever do meet up again, just make sure you've lots of £4.80 tokens..or are the machines up there also have unemptiable hoppers and tubes!? ..
  10. Yeah I went to his profile, it says 6 posts but doesn't show what they are. Perhaps @Reg can answer the question better.
  11. You've probably not posted enough, can you see the site rules?
  12. To Chris, You will be greatly missed. Rest in peace. Andrew.
  13. Just like to say thanks to Alex and everyone who has posted here, you've all said it better than I could I'm normally open forthright with my opinions, but this really has me totally lost. I can't find the right words, I cry but don't know what to do. Last night in the early hours I said to my monitor, "but what do we do, how do we get over this, come together as a group and grieve"? Sorry, Chris you must think this is really crap. If "we" decide on some sort of tribute, flowers, money, words, count me in, I'll do anything to help. Thank you fort the last 20 years of FME.
  14. Came back to the thread, hoping it wasn't here, but it sadly is. Still upset with it all, as we all are, still don't know what to say. Don't know even how to deal or process this grief I'm feeling for someone I've never met. It's so sad, RIP Chris, without whom we'd have none of this.
  15. Sorry, don't know what to say. RIP Chris.
  16. Yep, they were probably almost always used I would think, due to the limits of the ram size available for samples. However, The Mob is a good example. Is 16 the "farkin sneaky bastard" one? Probably just left in by the programmer for his own enjoyment, then as you say, never actually used in the game when it was released. NQ.
  17. Steve Davis Snooker was by CDS wasn't it? (crap now talking about a lot of retro stuff, you can google an answer in 2 seconds). @Reg Chronos was a canny shooter, great Tim Follin music though! NQ.
  18. It's a really badly coded feature as well. I'd expect it to be £6 min, or £5.60 if it wasn't playing so well, but less than the JP value, by some way, as seen in the vid, is crap. You'd think, get in, this must be £18, £24, or £30+ coming in! NQ.
  19. Paymaker from a reset, £210 MS pretty often. NQ.
  20. To enable Willy to survive a fall from any height: POKE 36578,16 Ah wrong emulator and game, doh. NQ.
  21. Some interesting posts folks, many thanks. NQ.
  22. Well due to a few things, mainly documented on here and FB, I had to pull out early last time , @Geddy knows all about that, baboom kish. Anyway, I'm in this time, and it's flying, currently £1.1M, loads of stretch goals fullfilled. Yeah I'm paying more than KS1, but sod it. I think the things that have gone on this year shows, life really is short, if you get any chance of fun, enjoyment, happiness, grab it while you can. So I've bought the Next Plus, as pi zeros are only a few quid now to add it. Anyway, I'll still use my ZX Uno, and certainly the MISTer, but this is getting it's own monitor and amp! NQ.
  23. Canny scroller though! @Reg NQ.
