I was beginning to lose hope with MAME running directly onto texture, but I've managed to get a very very old version of MAME from 2003 working. It's far from ideal, I'm hoping to be able to support the most up-to-date libretro core, so later I'll be able to also do MAME-based FME on other targets (android)... plus the newer version has nearly 20 years of bugfixes to the emulation!
But this is a milestone none-the-less Here is some Salamander attract mode running directly on Unity texture, plus a shader for CRT effects (I'll probably do something better for that as this is still 'flat')... also capturing sound. It uses quite a lot of CPU... but... it is workingSalamander..a true classic..
nice job getting it running.

im not sure if youre trying to get the "win series" under any circumstance (ie..using the debugger) if so, here is the method the get it in "demo" mode, for those who may not already know..
1. load layout and tick the "s door" check box.
2. when machine has initalised, press and HOLD DOWN the "test" check box until you hear the "ching ching" and you will have 10 Demo credits (which are infinate btw..)
3. hold down the "cancel" button and use holds, 1,2 and 3 to nudge in x3 hats for the feature. hold them and press start..
4. once feature has started, press "cancel" to step up the awards on the "staff of ra" feature stack, to "win series"
5. press the "exchange for feature" button to move the hi/lo reel to the next number you desire to move along the trail, and press start to move...(10 and 11 again will get you to staff of ra)
6. collect win series.

i use "MGALAXY" simple point and click front end for almost all emulators, including MFME

BARCODE...BFM... FOR MFME! (have you even tried to look for youre "OLD" layouts in the new updated form in the download section here? everything you will need is there)
all it took was a 5 sec search in the download area on this site to find it........
As me and others have stated here...FORGET the jpemu and bfmutator layouts..there are more upto date layouts for MFME 6.1...V19.XX
and what is the version of windows that you are running? you have been asked several times, but never replied....
if you have windows 10, FORGET that the other MFME versions even exist for now......
Has this been done before?
