  1. Me too, like many I attempted to be the first to ever complete it only to find out the 83rd item was both invisible and more importantly inaccessible. A set of 'pokes' was brought out to fix this and some other issues later on, you can still look this up for more info on google.
  2. That's the fella Here's a pic (screen off though)
  3. Assume its the one with a similar board to bully's star prize and DOND Dream Factory. There was another with a video screen as the top board, gold streak/strike or sonething, might have failed test.
  4. As said above some of the digitals bring out an Xmas themed slot. Case in point is the prismatic about 2 weeks ago. Here's the advert for it:
  5. Had to chuckle at bill and Ben as an answer, anyway good job on the cabinet
  6. I've not looked this up but I assume it's john and charles - what with bill and Ben being flowerpot men and Phil and Don being the Everly brothers

Pretty sure they did chip that, the game was removed and put back on fixed. However if you have a unit supplied by a smaller firm than regal that still has all the other pub games on it that might still be a worker.

I think that's the point - seems to me it knows about it and only gives when it wants to
  9. I believe the admin has to manually sort this out
  10. Rant time They ruined this machine, it originally came out and basically worked like a crystal skulls, presumably a test model as it came and went. About a year or so later it re-appeared, but they had messed with the program so you couldn't just kill off any win. Still not the worst of machines but the original release was great.
  11. I got my Spectrum 48K one Xmas in the early 80s just as they were starting to become popular - on the good side I learned BASIC and some Z80 assembler thanks to this - and soon built up a large collection of games. I'm not sure why now but after a few years I gave up on it and sold it on - probably the pub was starting to call I have to assume Chase HQ, Head Over Heels and Lords of Midnight were newer as I've never heard of them. Jetpac, Skool Daze and Deathchase - classics
  12. You probably mean Take It Or Leave It Crazy Trails - here's a pic with a couple of it's clones.
  13. Well you've confused me by saying 'newer Barcrest machines' - back in the 1990s many Barcrest's had the Barcrest button but I assume that's not what you are talking about ?
  14. If you leave the Poker Face about 10 minutes (yes that long) it should initialise
  15. Grrr - when you first posted my money was on the Deal Wheel
  16. Check the youtube emulation extravaganza thread, that will explain
  17. If you don't want to explain then fair enough. Just want to point out your footer (link) on here will need removing I guess too
  18. Can't agree with that - well actually I ALMOST can these days. I say that because there are very few current machines with anything on them but they do exist. Yes a few years ago (in fact for a long time) there were methods and empties all over the place and I'm sure many on here have benefited. The trouble is a random machine (if really random and that's dubious on some games) gives no advantage and thus no point in playing and they usually are just press start * a million and that's about it. At least Hi Tec AWP often had more to them than this.
  19. This is really old news. It's been covered many times on this and other sites. Even I made a post on the club Cops and Robbers where you could perform the same actions to get the JP - and that was from a downloaded state , not even RAM reset IIRC. A lot of the 'older' games always did the same thing from a specific point - in some cases you can get JP, in others get to a specific win but no further which is what you describe. I once toook note of actions on an older build of Maygay's screen play that would make you a decent profit every time. The 'newer' games are much more interseting - they vary in how happy they are from a specific point even though in theory they should perform the same.
  20. DK'Tronics - remembered that name - turns out they produced Maziacs for the Spectrum - image below
  21. It's any time you gamble against the number on most if not all of the DONDs.
  22. I started off with a 48K ZX Spectrum - gave me an interest in BASIC and Assembler. A sad day indeed losing Sir Clive. I spotted 'Everyone's a Wally above' - one of the few games I was well into - sadly it had a bug such that you could complete the game without doing all the tasks. Jet Set Willy had a bug too such that (without a 'poke') you could not collect the invisible icon.
  23. Perfect idea - video of setups in test mode where you can explain what's what then do some natural play to show it all in action
  24. Yes the one you posted here 31 May - I got about half way through it then had to go somewhere. Liked the way it took some thought (and no plugging )
