  1. Could have done with a background panel on those melon and grapes wins, especially the grapes. Also the hold buttons aren't quite centrally-aligned with the reels - 7/10. *runs*
  2. There was also a fruit machine game with a £1.50 jackpot that had skulls as the jackpot symbol. Anyone remember that? The name escapes me...
  3. Great music by Matt Gray on the C64 version The reels were printed in the cassette box inlay and I worked out that the reels spun a fixed distance on each spin. So with clever holds you could set wins up. You could also nudge the reels to losing positions knowing it would result in a win on the next spin. The only annoying thing with the game was that if you pulled down on the joystick by accident it ended the game and moved to the next player. Codemasters were fucking great back in the 8-bit days
  4. First time I've ever seen one of those. Probably a clone of something else. You might be better off trying to redraw it; the game looks pretty simple with just the four symbols. The font used on CRAZY BAR and the nudges along the bottom is Damn Noisy Kids. You're halfway there already
  5. We've got these ROMs - as I recall someone on the Mecca, might even have been @Player, bought a SAG on eBay and when he booted it up it was running on 1.0 software. I've zipped my copy of the layout up and attached Nudges banked from the gamble carry over from game-to-game (you don't get forced to Break or Take on the next spin - they go into the Pig instead of the nudge gamble ladder), and you can Trade/Exchange a £3 win repeatedly. 8. I wasn't aiming my barbs at anyone in particular. We should be blaming the sellers, not the people who buy stuff in good faith. It's just that these sort of threads tend to descend into a pile-on with people getting banned, and I didn't want to see that happen to anyone. Let's try and help Danny out and maybe he'll have a good experience and donate to the site and become an active member
  9. This thread is reminiscent of the sort of 'warm welcome' that was dished out on Fruit-Emu back in the day when a new member joined who hadn't quite followed the 'rules', despite the fact they probably wouldn't have known they existed in the first place. I say life's too short for bickering, so either help the guy out or get GTFO of this thread. @Danny C - I don't know what version of MFME you've got, or what games you have, but the best place to start is to install MFME on your PC and run it, or simply run the .exe if that's all you've got go to game Manager then Database and Set Main Game Folder then point to the folder where all you games are you'll need to make sure all your games are unzipped first, otherwise MFME won't see them - so check for that first once you've done that, go back to Database and Scan all You should see a green list of games for you to choose from Simply click on a game you want to play, and it should load up for you Enjoy If this doesn't work, I might be about this afternoon if you've got any questions. Or maybe some others will be willing to help...?
  10. The in-fight music for this on the C64 is absolutely tremendous. Could listen to it on a loop for hours. Same with the Hyberblob title music, R1D1 and Yie ar Kung Fu. And Skate or Die. The SID chip was fucking amazing wasn't it? So many great tunes were made on it. Soundtrack to your youth...
  11. Calm down... NeoouAAektoc!

This was a DJE rebuild, similar to Against all Odds, on Barcrest MPU4.
  13. Wow, amazing to see there's still one working out there I remember seeing one on eBay years ago that someone was selling - they had stored it in their garage and a squirrel had been hibernating in it, and it was full to the brim with acorns Was this game an actual Barcrest machine or was it some sort of Associated Leisure re-glass like Tuppenny Cracker (Crack the Nut)? As an aside, I am absolutely convinced that I played a Crack the Nut when I was a kid that played 'Chick-chick-chicken' for the jackpot tune instead of 'Coconuts', so maybe it had the wrong sound ROMs in it, or they converted a Crack the Egg into a Crack the Nut and left the sound ROMs in. Lots of people absolutely hate the Cooper font in general, but it looks amazing on that game. Whenever I see it on something else it always reminds me of Crack the Nut!
  14. Yeah we've been spoiled in the UK up until recently. Our games between the 80's and 00's were quite unique and really enjoyable to play. Over the last 20 years it's all slowly moved towards random, 5-reel, multi-line slots much like Australia and the USA. Thank goodness for emulation, that's all I can say! If you can remember the names of any of the old games you should be able to find them on here Welcome to the site
  15. I should imagine playing video games to any reasonable level would be difficult on a hand-held device. But fruits on the other hand would be a different animal
  16. Great little game this was. Only ever saw one in my lifetime - in Harbour Amusements in Mevagissey. When it was happy it would start giving bonus steps on the top. The jackpot/attract tune was top-notch, absolutely loved hearing that again. The coin in sound used to remind me of the video-game Frogger when you moved the frog along. There was a 5p play variant of this game but I think it was called something else. Anyone remember? Well done to Steve Lancett for doing a video of this
  17. Crazy Coyote by PCP would be it. PCP's take on Maygay's Pink Panther. There's a classic layout somewhere. Edit - in here, click Download this file and choose Crazy Coyote from the list of games
  18. This happens in the wild on some games, such as Psycho cash Beast. If the square you're trying to hit is the one it changes direction on you can miss it quite easily. You're not wrong OP

    Double Fun Barcrest BWB

I think the English version was called Double or Quits

All changes made are saved in the registry, including the size and position of the manager window itself.
  21. So you can see the IN and OUT meters but not the % and drift displays? It sounds like the window you're playing the game in is really small so you can't see everything in the ribbon above. Try clicking on Window in the ribbon along the top and then selecting Full Screen from the drop-down menu. That might solve it

You should be able to find it here - Fast Trak (JPM) [Impact].zip
  23. There was also a game called Wakey Wakey in the Project 777 Heaven cabinet, which had a clock on it that randomly gave prizes and features. Not sure if it was a Project game or a rebuild outfit. I reckon it's Stop the Clock by BAS, as that's got a smiley face on it. Let us know @blobalbob
