I haven't posted much on this forum over the years but today I'm compelled to say a BIG thank you to the community. Obviously it wouldn't all be possible without @Wizard and I was fortunate enough to have gained help from him personally a few years ago getting my cab's PacDrive working but I'm also super grateful to everyone else involved and today I'd like to put a spotlight on the work provided by @Amusements , I'm in ore of the quality of the art work delivered by him in his JPM system 80 layouts (and many others). I can only imagine the many hours he must have put into recreating these beautiful designs, they are faultless and bring back so many good memories, they really do.
This Christmas I finally found some time to sort out my cab project and fitted a second touchscreen and I'm just blown-away by how well it works in particular with @Amusementslayouts. I've now got this dual touch screen cab (which is great for all the feature buttons) running Touch-Play (again thanks to those involved in making that possible too) with a Pacdrive.
I know there are loads of other people that put time into this scene/project but I can see @Amusements has the same love I do for those old classics from the 80's, they has been reproduced just perfectly in every detail.
I've posted this in the cab's section as I think my cab worked out pretty well in the end but like I say it's thanks to you guys that this is possible.
Sorry about the sound quality (in particular my heavy breathing and the button clicks - those sounds have got amplified somehow)
Anyway, thanks guys,
Graham.

Go to downloads...
Then...

...then...
...and it will be one of these ones, you need to try them all.
Here is the rom you will need to also unrar and put into that directory.
snappy.rar 16.28 kB · 0 downloads 0
@Reg I know you guys run this as a hobby and it's a passion but I wish businesses provided the same level of service, response and support (for paid services) that you provide. Never ceases to amaze me the help and support I get from you and this group. Thank you so much

Erm from the download section:

Argh, I was going to ask similar quesiton
,
but I was after MFMEv3.exe and that's not available from what I can find.
There is a layout https://www.fruit-emu.com/forums/index.php/files/file/614-snappy-viper-dx-layout/ I'm keen to try (I like the flat board on this layout) - but if I try to open in MFME5 upwards it says the res file isn't there (despite it being there). I figured I might try v3 on it?? Any suggestions to get the above layout to work? (I've added the roms and all the other snappy viper layout work okay).

Can anyone help me gain access again to my account that was on the MPU Mecca at https://www.fruitemu.co.uk/?
I know this is DessertIslandfruits.com but I'm working on the assumption that maybe someone knows who manages this possibly?
If I attempt to access members areas I get and error 20 which is fair enough but it looks like the registration process is no longer active as that throws up an error when you attempt to enter new details..
The annoying things is I have an old account but it's locked and the password reset isn't working either
it's got some great content on it and I want to access some old forum discussions

Hey @Road Hog MadJust downloaded it, winzip unpacked it fine and runs fine but I'm having trouble setting it up. I just get a blank screen on the 3 buttons and I'm not sure what to type into the config screen.
In the log file it reports : Unable to parse game info for 'D:\games
I've got directories called
BWB - The Spice Is Right 20p £10 85%
I appreciate thats not the right game details but it's what I typed.
any ideas?

Thank you for sharing, I've got a touchscreen cab being built at moment so will play with this laterz....
thanks again @Road Hog Mad

I've managed to f-up two Pacdrives now, it serves me right for jumping in and connecting up the wires incorrectly. I think I've got 5v back into one of the terminals and toasted the board as I can't get it to be recognised anymore. I just wanted to check there isn't a utility (other than Blinky) that will reflash the board is there?
In the meantime I've bought my third

Great idea

I would need to check, I do have a Ultimate board somewhere.
Happy to beta test this for you if you decide to look at this.

arse !
I've got a feeling the two boards are on ID "1" will MFME be able to talk with a Pacdrive if I've used a Ultimate for the keys or will I need to get a PACDRIVE on ID2?
Bugger!.
But thanks for confirming @Wizard
BTW - for a donation (£50?) it wouldn't be feasible / useful / possible to get the support added.? (thought I'd ask) in case that was an option.

Hi guys,
Can anyone help me get the PAC Drive configuration working or point me in the right direction? I'm in the process of building my MFME cab and I've bought an Ultimarc Ultimate IO board (this one https://www.ultimarc.com/control-interfaces/i-pacs/i-pac-ultimate-i-o/). I've got the buttons working okay but having problems with the LEDs.
I've tested the LED part of the board with LEDBlinky and I can turn on my LED with the Blinky "Simple LED test" but I can't get MFME19 (or prior, 6) to lite the LEDs.
Can someone walk me through setting up MFME please?
This is what I'm doing to test in MFME
The Ultimate ID of the board is 1 - verified by blicky test.
1. Loading a game (MonteCarloBust) - Note that the game can't be saved, since I didn't' create the DX - I wondered if this was the problem?
2. In MFME,entering "Edit" mode to obtain the lamp for the Start button (in properties of the start button is says Lamp=41).
3. Clicking on "Configuration" in MFME and adding a new entry
Output = 10 (the LED is connected to 10 and works with Blicky)
Label =START
Type = Lamp
Lamp1 = 41
4. on the MFME config screen "Ultimate10" appears in the 4th box (for right) at the top where it displays whether it's recognised the board.
I've tried, SAVING, TESTING, CONFIG, etc but I can't get the LED to lite. The game is running and the start button is flashing too.
any help would be great?
I wanted to upload a couple of screen-shots but I get a 201 error on the forum and receive an "Upload Failed" message (do I not have rights to upload? the files are only a 300K each.)
Many thanks,
Graham.

Great post, just having a go at something similar myself and as you mentioned, I'm trying to reuse most of the existing wiring (it took a while for the penny to drop - I nearly ripped it all out! - Doh!)
