For compatible Android devices there are a variety of applications (GameNative, Winlator, Gamehub and numerous fork builds) that allow PC exes (Executables) to run on Android, they are not native Android ports.
-
GameHub has been accused of stealing other projects source code on numerous occasions, Winlator went through a phase where a virus was present in the container but apparently had no affect on your device, GameNative is still a virgin mate (no negatives), nothing but positive feedback, your safe

Hopefully no moisture got to them

If you can install and run Linux containers on Apple (which I am not familiar with) then your answer would be, yes.

Thank you so much Steve, this update resolved my question via this thread and working perfect, greatly appreciated mate

Hey mate and thank you for the fast reply. Yes, that is the window i am reffering to, if i change games or do a fresh boot of the emu the menu interface window always resorts to minimised and i have to select maximize everytime to enlarge the window. Those features you stated would be fantastic, I'm sure not only myself but many others would be greatly appreciated with those To be fair, the launcher controls (window) for me is already hidden, as I'm using touch screen controls on my Android device, so that is not a issue for me.

Can someone please assist with how to make IGMEs menu interface automatically a maximized window? (If it's even possible) when you first boot the emu or change games the main menu interface constantly resorts to a minimized window, is it possible to change values/settings so the window always resorts to maximized? I'm not referring to cabinet settings, but the actual menu interface where you select your game. I could use something like AutoHotKey if what I'm asking cannot be accomplished. Regards: Shane

Reg is this available for public testing yet? No download option is available for me?
-
Looking good Reg, definitely need to invest in a nice front end

I also have this issue with the screens side by side even though they should be top/bottom, the solution i use is delete the content folder of the specific game from the " _run" folder, boot game and top/bottom works, however i need to repeat this process otherwise side by side will draw automatically.

But is this truly illegal? I mean, emulation has always been there with public releases, and emulation is legal, by viewing YouTube videos how would one know if the games have been obtained legally and backed up for preseverstion, I'm not a 100% certain if fruit emulation would be the same as the likes of Yuzu (switch emulation) which was valid for years until one dev decided to sell hacks for the new Zelda game and that's when Nintendo shut them down, however prior to that incident Yuzu was up and running for years without no legal issues, would fruit emulation fall under the same guide lines? I've always been under the impression that emulation is legal, however when games and hacks are shared publicly without purchasing the content legally that's when the copyright side comes into play.

Glad I could assist you buddy, enjoy Winlator is decent, however imo GameNative is the best choice for emulating these fruits on Android, simply because GameNative allows you to edit portrait and Landscape modes where's as Winlator does not allow these features (I have not tested any Winlator forks, only the official version by Bruno) I'll attach a photo here of one of my MFME games running in GameNative with full portrait mode, from memory Winlator (official) only supports Landscape mode (I could be wrong though)

That would suck for people like me who are only new to this community, no fair how we should be ruled out over what's occurred here recently.

Is your Discord server just for downloading content or does it also allow discussions based on the newly released emus? If so may i please receive an invite to the discord server? I currently have all the files i need, just looking (for a community) to engage in conversations and share tips and hints related to the newly released emus

I'm not surprised by this outcome and for the long run probably better off, here in Australia we was at this point with video emulation around 2007-2008, an Aristocrat employee leaked Mark 6 software (publicly), websites where discussions were based about this emulator were all targeted by Aristocrat, some websites here to this day (20+ years later) still don't allow the discussion of that particular emulator, stay safe DIF fams

If you have recently tested the great BVEE emu on Android (under Linux containers) you have most likely encountered the error code "tar.exe was not found. Windows 10 1803+ and Windows 11 normally include it". This error is occurred because BVEE is attempting to extract the bfpkg files using tar which is not included in the wine preflix, to bypass this error extract the game files yourself, here is the process. Tested and working on the latest version of GameNative, Winlator should also work however GameHub refused to boot the emulator regardless what settings/changes to the preflix you make. Also you will need Legacy Renderer in the Container settings enabled, image is stretched and unplayable without this option enabled (GameNative) 1: ZArchiver is what I used for this process on my Android device 2: Open the bfpkg file with ZArchiver and extract the contents, there should be x2 files 3: When extraction completes you should now have x2 files extracted "data.tar.lzma and meta.tar.lzma" 4: Create x2 new folders and name them "data" and "meta" 5: Extract the contents of data.tar.lzma to the "data" folder 6: Extract the contents of meta.tar.lzma to the "meta" folder 7: Create a new folder and name this folder the same name as the original bfpkg that you first extracted 8: Move the "data" and "meta" folder into the new folder you created in step 7. 9: Enjoy BVEE on Android

Hmm thanks for sharing, I've tested GameNative, numerous times , to the point my head was going to explode, I could never get the Aristocrat MK6 emu working with that emulator, feels like an on going battle with myself and GameNative because every few weeks I return to it and try and get that specific emulator working and I'm precise for storage memory, I refuse to have GameNative and GameHub installed on the one device, one emu needs to play everything (i.e. MFME, MVFME etc)
-
To be precise, I am using Gamehub v5.1.3, I refuse to update (for now) as it might break the emus I currently have running, also having the option to backup the container settings + the touch pad controls is a bonus (i.e. if I purchase a new phone just install the same apk with my backup files and everything is already setup )

Don't mind me asking but what Screen Orientation app are you using? I tried a couple of variants but none of those would allow for full screen portrait mode, i use Gamehub Ludashi to run my MVFME, MFME and Aristocrats MK4, MK5 & MK6, i originally was using Winlator Ludashi however the Aristocrat games would not function correctly which is why i reverted to Gamehub, which surprisingly runs all of the above. Also, have you tested the tournament/online option with MVFME? Mine does nothing when i select "Online" within the Emu (yes i have already created an account over at MVFME), no error message or crash, just nothing, was just curious to know if this was a Gamehub issue or a linux/container issue on Android.
