  1. Have a few on my android. Some guy called cashman has them. Also has community slots so you get features if someone else gets it at the same time. As for linux etc. Some say it works some say to use this and that. Tried it on my steamdeck with loads of suggestions etc. Does noy work and unless i see a decent vid of it working i'm not bothering as i don't want to mess up my settings etc as it took weeks to do. I can get it to play on it with windows installed on a seperate drive but have to play lanscape mode and can only press the screen where you have to press twice to get it to spin. Not going into trying to pair a keyboard etc to map out buttons. Too much effort. If anybody wants to try it that way then fine but i reccomend you watch some decent tutorials etc if you are going to try it.
  2. Still working my way round a few of these. Some of these are great.
  3. I have a few fruit machine apps that play on my andriod but run as a seperate entity and not an emultor. The guy who made them has somehow linked his app that will connect all games you have downloaded. (Cashman) apps
  4. I was thinking Monte carlo then realised they were on the feature, (super slots) not on the main game. Its in the back of my mind somewhere. What was the JP symbal?
  5. Yeah, i got that. Got roller coaster, casino crazy £250, adders and ladders, frankenstien and the one with 3 different slots including Blackpool nights. Its ok for a free slot on your mobile. I don't know how the competitions work though. Only has a small range so MFME is the better option as you have the vast choice to choose from. If you do get a cheap windows laptop make sure its limited use for google and a few things as my laptop is slow when browsing as its a few years old but does the standard job of Running the MFME roms.
  6. Rollercoaster, psycho cash beast. Something similar with features and seperate buttons just to get familiar with most of the keyboard buttons which are standard on most layouts.
  7. I get those options. But nothing comes up when i select anything.
  8. How do you turn the machines off in background?
  9. Got it working but the reels turn slow amd plays slow. Thats down to a crap laptop.
  10. Downloaded this earlier and came to the same problem of pressing enter on any machine and nothing. Hopefully reading the thread i can fix the problem. Some say graphics card but all MFME roms seem to work no prob and my laptop is at least 6 years old. So we will see.
  11. Blast from the past. There were cheats on the original arcade bubble bobble version. Something like left, jump, left fire. Gives permanent speed and fast bubbles. The problem with 8 and 16 bit consoles. The lag in some of these games due to the controllers having plastic buttons where i can hear you click the crap out if it to get it to move, joysticks, game controllers, 6 button ones, even the guitar for guitar hero had it. Used to put a thin bit of cardboard between the plastic buttons and direction between the rubber to reduce travelling as the phrase was at the time. Not that i'm saying take your controller apart unless you loads. Just at the time, controllers were easy to get hold of when the consoles were selling. Not sure how hard and expensive certain ones could be now.

    MFME

I can imagine what a boss would say to an employer catching them on a works computer playing fruit machines

    MFME

So its not just me thinking about windows 7? Who has windows 7? I have 3 broken laptops in my cupboards i havent used in years that were at least windows 10.
  14. Ive tried all the suggestions and more. It simply will not work. Best i can do on a few is get the emulator to load the once. Wont recognise any games, then wont load the emulator again. Then messes up with my open settings for my other emulators. I just use windows 11 in a seperate drive and play it that way. I mean, it probably could work for me on steam deck but its not worth me doing something stupid and messing up my settings etc that took me weeks to get to where i want.
Absolutely loved this machine as the seaside town where i lived had 10 arcades at 1 point, fairground and then the holiday camp that had 2. So plenty of playroom. Loved this as it wasn't the fact that it was a big winner. It was a nice cheap time killer for when you took everything in the arcade and needed something to play on untill it was time to pounce again. My main aracade had 3 of them, 2.40 jp. So many arcades had this which was funny as i don't think i've seen it mentioned anywhere that 9.5 times out of 10 if you went lower than a 2 it would land on 1, higher than an 11 it would land on 12 giving you a nice setup. Knew this from the get go. Does it on any version, chip JP amount and emulator.
  15. Newbies area, in the 'read this first' section. Tells you everything you need to know.
  16. I've a had a few successes including proton to load the emulator up but it won't recognise any files to play. Hopefull someone will have a full blown, get the point, lets see it actually work tutorial on the steam deck.
  17. I tried all that. Tried wine, bottles, proton, lutris did the same as my first attempt at bottles but loaded up the emulator and actually found the rom files. Did any load? Did they f. Closed it down and somehow wont load the emulator again. Everytime i do any of that (open with) stuff it changes my pcsx2 option which opens up with its own desktop icon and none of those other emulators. There probably is a way to actually do it on steamdeck without installing windows 11 in a seperate drive etc but i fear that constantly downloading and uninstalling stuff will eventually lead to me doing something wrong that will mess up 2 weeks of work to get the emulators, settings etc or worse, cause major issues. I'd rather play it safe for now and do it all on a seperate drive that i wont mind having issues because i can just wipe that and restart. I can get the emulater and games going in windows and landscape but you have to press the screen fast twice for any buttons holds, nudges which gives probs. If you download any programes to assign controllers, it doesn't recognise the steamdeck controller. Its as if steamdeck hates and has this issue with windows. So the cure is either bluetooth keyboard or assign this bluetooth controller that you put your mobile phone in the middle of and play emulated and online games with. We shall see. Thank you for replying and trying to help me out.
  18. Steam must be different from linux then as i tried bottles and several launchers, flatpack, flatseal that wont recognise files. It will recognise and run the MFME emulater but none of the games, files will show up. The folders will but nothing else. Don't want to go installing and unistalling programmes that might or might not work. I'll take what you have if thats ok as willing to give it a try.
  19. Yes, after a few days of trial and error i finally have and can play mfme emulator and roms. Nothing works on the desktop mode, ive tried programmes like bottles etc. Recognises the mfme program and works but wont recognise files. The workaround is to install windows on a flash drive and boot from the flash drive. As i have only a 65 gig and managed to do it but the widows takes 59 gig leaving me only 6 gig space. Plan is to wait for my 523 gig drive tommorow and work the ins and outs then if it all works out see if i can get permission on here to post how to do it properly for those who are interested in doing it. If i can, this will include someone elses video tutorial that i will give links and the credit for.
  20. I watched the whole thing. Most of this i knew. They still do the machine or have someone playing in the background now. Anybody see the episode of 'Still Game' (with the 2 pensioners)? One episode was a few of them taking it in turns using a clicker in the local pub to calculate each pound put in so they could predict when it payed the £1000 jp good series. Percentage, so many people with thier wrong or BS explainations of how to explain it in the past when i knew the guy was right. It can say whatever on the machine, it don't mean a thing. Owners can tune it down and if you were a regular arcade rat like me living in a seaside town with arcades and going from place to place by train that had arcades you would know most machines, features, how much it took to payout so you would know the percantage just by watching someone playing. During the late 90's and early 2000's they introduced decent machines, most with features and a lot which did runs but had a half way mark where about £15 to £20 after a run it would give a win and then nothing for about another £10 then it would run again and pay out. Token machines, where JP was token payout obviously wouldn't pay out jp if there wasn't the JP amount in the token tube so percentage was out the window. Found that out the hard way. How guy lost thousands in arcades playing the same machines is beyond me. I had a system where i would turn up to the arcade first thing, take everything, play something small and wait untill it got busy and watched who was playing and spending what. Simple but effective. RTP, same thing with these low pay low risk slots, you would know how good or bad it was. Pubs and clubs, no chance, got rinsed as they were usually taken before opening or the staff or owner would play it after closing and take jp and hope it wasn't the cahspot if it was a £100 or £200 we have all heard stories of this happening. Haven't played a slot in a pub in 15 years. RTP on online casinos are terrible, so many sites where you play the lowest stake and you won't get a feature for 20 to 30 mins and then pays out nothing. So many fake reviews on trustpilot and the gaming commision must be blind or getting thier cut. Either way. Once an online slot site gets bad publicity, they just close down and open a new one, change the name or update the site to look different. Theres loads of organisations that have a load of sister sites. I don't mind a tenner online and do win now and again but thats my limit. Gamstop etc are useless, just gives you an annoying reminder every 30 mins or an hours asking you if you wan't to close down. Yes, i would like to close down on a slot that hasn't given fck all for an hour. Done in purpose to see if you click yes by mistake and then resetts the slot. Yes it has gotten worse with trying to keep the player playing, my fave latest one is the ones in my club 3000. Put money or money that you need laundered into the machine, win, get a reciept with the balance. I think its designed so it doesn't look like money so that you won't think about it too much when you put that into the machine and get rinsed. If you want to wash a bit of money, just go on afew at a time then put the receipts into a bit payout machine and build up a big balance and get a big reciept then cash it in at the desk. The other one that has ruined it for people like myself that like a bit of a gamble but don't want £20 to last 35 seconds and at least 10 mins it the machines that target kids and pressure parents where you watch your kid put £20 worth of money in to maybe win jp of 800...tickets, not £8 worth. No. Gets you something you could buy from the shop next door for 50p. All these arcades have them and some are just these greed machines because they are just 95% profit. This is where the gaming commision and authorities have gone wrong and need to look at these things. As you can guess, i've had my fair share of experience, stories and admitedly i was addicted to them at one point in my life. £10 online once a week if i'm lucky and thats after paying bills etc. Can't afford it and wouldn't spend on these new expensive things if i could. £1 a spin. I wouldn't trust something where i would spend loads of money, win big and still have the chance of not paying out. If i do win online or have a withdrawl i take screenshots just in case. I'm glad theres a site like this for people that have that urge or feeling of nostalgia that can play your old faves and not get rinsed as well as read up on other people experiences.
  21. Managed to get mfme to load on steamdeck using bottles but just boots the emulator up but no game files show up on it. I used a tutorial for linux to do it today to get this far but im stuck for now. Will try a few other methods when i get the chance.
  22. Was going to ask the same question but searched first to see. I've done the same as you with emulators except ps2 emulator has issues with the mentioned programs so just use it as a desktop app. It seems this question had gone unanswered so i have mfme and a few roms and have been putting off trying it myself. So maybe in the next few days i might give it a try. Just that ive only had the steamdeck 2 months and i'm still technically a newbie to it. I'm sure i could find a way round it. The only problem i could see would be the same issue when playing on a pc wich would be fitting into the screen so it shows the hold and start buttons. Also looking for that answer in the forums as i haven't found the answer to that other than trying different versions of the emulator and dragging the screen wider so the "about" is on the same line as the rest of the options so the buttons fit in the screen. If it do try it. I will come back to this post and let you know if and how successfull i am.
  23. Live in barry. (Gaving and Stacey land) don't get me started on that So had the holiday camp, several arcades etc and it would shock you where in wales and england a group of teenagers would travel just to visit the arcades so i saw and played a lot of fruit machines in my time. Hoping this site brings back a few memories.
  24. There were so many versions of this set up. The one with the monkeys and the falling coconuts was my fave. This version where you build up a decent stack, get JP and then takes it all back because you didn't want leave a full stack.
