  1. To enjoy the latetst layouts you are going to need to upgrade to Win10 at least. You could get an earlier emulator but you won't find many layouts that will work in those any longer. J
  2. I’d say fruit emu has a much larger archive of mfme layouts. Lots are pre new mfme but I still often download the odd layout or two. The search is better over there, (unless I’m doing something wrong here) though it doesn’t recognise 3 letter words, which is probably a search default to be fair. J
  3. I remember you telling me you got no source artwork or any help from Irem. Did a superb job mate, really looked stunning J
  4. I remember being blown away by your mobile version of R-Type!! Looks amazing!! J
  5. Quite the opposite, the machine will come back factory fresh as if it’s never been played before. Not all ram reset mean a ready machine. I’ve played plenty that will reset and already be at its target %. I remember when we used to click the Cloud999, NNWW etc, later revisions would ram reset but would start at closer to target percentage making it all a bit pointless. J
  6. I’ve had the dreaded £10 top board, to stone dead on a £25 jackpot GG. They can sometimes just be terribly brutal !! J
  7. If it totally cleared the ram it would boot up with a certain reel setup and credit and bank would be erased. Is that what happened. I've had it happen to me in an arcade in Ingoldmells, was a sit down Red Hot X Arena. I'd just spun it out and was collecting my bank when it crashed, the guy paid me out and fiddled with the machine, when it booted back up it had 3 red XXX on the line. Was a happy accident J
  8. I’m not too sure, but possibly £5 is the minimum donation. It would unlock unlimited downloads. J
  9. Yeah I did the same thing a few years back. Touch screen for fruities sounds like a dream, but in reality it will become far to painful to use long term. J
  10. A ram clear error is normal on first boot Alth. The contact Maygay is usually due to the lower stake revisions that had a dongle check. We do have roms and that check can be hacked out J
  11. So looking forward to the BWB games !!! A dream come true, for me at least J
  12. I don’t think we have the roms for this unfortunately. Think I’ve seen some images floating about, but likely not good enough for a DX. J
  13. Probably find exchange will be mapped to ‘x’. I created this layout before clickable buttons were a thing in mfme. J
  14. Yeah, I’ve decided to just get some semi decent pc components and build into a slim console type case that way I can have it run pretty much anything Maybe my question could have been worded better as I think I’m after an all in one frontend fully loaded already with roms, no setup required. I do have Big Box license but I just don’t want to mess around configuring stuff. I guess I want a plug and play pre configured install…. I don’t want Hyper Spin though, it’s just too bloated. J
  15. There is literally a ‘loading mfme for the first time’ guide at the top of this subsection. Unzip the download if needed, then just use the mfme installer file. J
  16. Think the minimum is £5. I don’t know for sure though. J
  17. It has to be actioned manually, it could take a little while. You could contact the site admin if it hasn’t been sorted by tomorrow maybe. J
  18. Yeah I often download arcade roms from their archive, it’s pretty decent J
  19. Cheers bud, really appreciate that link J
  20. I’ve seen laser disk roms but where might one get the video files? I have daphne, but would be nice to have them running under mame for sure I remember Mad Dog McCree in my local arcade, ha ha early 90’s, would love to play some of those again ha ha!! J
  21. Indeed, almost like they didn’t want people who knew what they were doing playing them. Like you said and it wasn’t even difficult to spot those settings. Unless I’d been watching one progress I wouldn’t quite believe a max pot. J
  22. I have a mame cab, but I’m looking for maybe a retro system with games covering arcade and earlier consoles, so MAME, SNES, Sega etc. I’m looking for something already pre configured with roms and a nice front end and pre-built that can plug in to my TV so I don’t have to do a lot of configuring. It needs to play all games well enough to enjoy, especially some of my favourite arcade games like Mortal Kombat etc. Does such a unit already exist? I have looked at the Pandora boxes but not sure what kind of boards/pc they are equipped with, need something more top end. Any ideas are appreciated J
