Time to jet off to Florida to enjoy the sunset in Orlando, its Magic!!! with two layouts to choose from. A 20p version and a 5p version (different paytable) both use different rom sets (do we have the roms for the original £6 token machine? Thanks goto @andy-1 - for the classic layout and reel bands etc @infection - images @wizard for mfme's past and present and also fixed a bug to allow this game to run many moons back Not sure how the top numbers 1 - 12 lamp as whilst designing the layout there is two sets of lamps for those numbers and on the original classic layout andy-1 only used one so the feature which used those the numbers went out, so to use both sets i've made the 2nd set masked yellow, can anyone confirm if the machine actually used both lots of lamps or were they a different colour etc Shortcuts written within the notes Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!!!

Here`s a machine I remember playing as a kid in an arcade called the Bright Spot in the seaside town of Rhyl, they had this one and an always eight side by side, when I was feeling flush I would play both at the time so sometimes I actually link the two together and play them side by side in mfme. There`s two versions 2p and 5p never saw the £4 token version in the wild would love to get my hands on the roms if anyone has a set. This layout is the first time I have done animated buttons, imo they do add a little bit more authenticity ,enough waffle hope you all enjoy. Thanks to @johnparker007 for finding the font for the cash/nudge trail and also explaining how the animated buttons work. Thanks to @Pook for advice and a quick video he posted on how to create the animated buttons. Below is the link to the thread if anyone is interested in creating more layouts with animated buttons. https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/topic/16587-button-animation/ Massive Thanks to @Wizard for MFME. Thanks to everyone for the kind words in the wip thread regarding my health .

  4. Been feeling a bit better, so got some more progress on porting/converting the MFME Layout Extractor from the old ArcadeSim project to the new MfmeTools application (this is a 'standalone' Windows-only component of the Layout Editor, which is a cross-platform component of the Oasis suite). Work ported so far, allows for a little more progress in this test extraction, is now puts Mfme in Edit mode, and copies off lamps to the background: Next, is to get the Window Handle of the Properties window, and then from there, it's working on the new window capture system itself, as I need to get: - window position/size from the handles - getting window content as a bitmap - redo the old scraping of the component name (used a fuzzy OCR in old system, this needs converting to my Delphi font scraper, as everything else uses)

  8. Nice work Tommy, thanks - classic machines these ones For future ref, there's a potentially better quality image source on the Community Drive (http://tinyurl.com/yckze665) for this one - might be useful for a future ultra high res 8k version or summats with some fettling, like this I did from a quick edit: Right I'm off to have a quick play on your layout for some nostalgia!

  9. I have noticed before on a Double Cash layout that on a particularly RAM I had (and I would keep reverting to), that on the 4th spin it would always nudge for Bars with the Double Cash. I thought it might be a one off and never thought about it again. However, I now have a RAM for the new Twin Pot layout by DAD (thanks for that, love this era of Astra machines) that will always offer 4 nudges (next spin) and a hold on the first go. Hold reels 1 and 3 and it will nudge for the Twin Pot feature which will then go for £5 with a repeat of £3 and a further repeat of £6. Every time! It's as though it has preplanned the next 4 spins. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Maybe it is just the nature of compensated machines that something is triggered in the code and will therefore always be triggered? I've attached the GAM and RAM files if you'd like to try it for yourself. Twin Pot DX.gam Twin Pot DX.ram

  10. On Red Hot Poker - £6.00 JP - the cards are pre scripted - even if you change your holds at certain points.... You can exit with no RAM save and reload - the next ten or so cards will be the same at certain times when it wants to give a win. The fun thing here though, is that cos its a poker game - if you hold different things - you can get different wins! So 2 pair instead of a straight for example, AWP's were just Donald Ducked back in the day. This trend even continued to the £35 era - I have the video screen lo-tech Bullseye dart game saved at a point where it will give a streak of between £95 and £140 within the next 10 credits. It can pay it in very slightly different ways - but its always there. I also like getting a game close to streak - and seeing the different ways it will play out.

  11. There's always a video, and a story Very much what's being described by BarXQueen, a near 'scripted' series of events from the same RAM reset position, that happened to me, (profitably!), on a real machine (Spoiler alert, the battery for the battery backed RAM had gone flat, so if you were the first person to play it every day, you got it from a RAM reset, when it had a few quid profit in it on a repeatable cycle.)
    2 points
  12. It was quite common a long time back that AWPs would do the exact same thing from a particular RAM position, reset position being an example @Chopaholic did a video for (or mentioned in another video).

Float down the Nile and search the pyramids, Will you raid the tomb for its treasure or be cursed and lose the lot!! Thanks goto @hitthesix for the previous classic layout @infection - images Now onto the layout itself, this layout has a few minor problems. Firstly like the Classic layout beforehand, the Main LCD screen in the centre isn't Emulatable Atm so a fair bit of info won't show as in Let Em spin, hi lo reel is lit, and find my treasures!! also some features rely on the text so its guess work on our part!! For the main "find my treasures" the logo will flash. Finally the Start / Collect button should spin the reels and collect the bank, but couldn't workout how to make a dual functioning button, so to get around this the Collect button is underneath. you can drag the button off-screen and press "C" to collect winnings.. if anybody knows how to make it dual buttons let us know via a topic? Here's 9 layouts for Super RED BAR, and I've lost count of the amount of GAM files and ROMs, along with my sanity! I've classed these as Hybrid DX, due to them being a mash-up of online art and my own decals and things. Too many versions to list. But the paytables are in the layout filenames (so for example RB_WOOD_1_2_4_8) would be £8 jackpot with a £1, £2, £4 and £8 paytable, running the WOOD ROMs (see 'important notes' below). Concept ROMs are fixed percentages and with this layout (and from now on) I'm listing the percentages in both the ROM name and GAM name. MAB £15 layout has variable percentages, instructions on how to change are included in a text file with that layout - percentages.txt Important notes : 1) The WOOD ROMs are for flat-top cabinets. These have full lamping of logo and paytable. Random lamps may flicker each spin. 2) The CASINO ROMs are for dome-top cabinets. The logo and paytables are permanently lit, as they would be on the real machine. 3) I believe these all to be fully working as released - but I'll be honest, I got a bit overwhelmed with it. There is having a nice variety, and then there is complete overkill which this is. As I've said before though, these were only really intended to be for my personal use, to fill my MFME cabinet up with lots of lo-tech stuff. Any issues at all don't hesitate to send me a personal message, reply to the release thread, or send a carrier pigeon. I would endeavour to fix any mistakes. Thanks : Thanks to @Wizard for the emulator, thanks to everyone who plays and enjoys my layouts, and thanks to those who don't play and can't stand them! Thanks to @Ginge for previous help, suggestions, and playtesting of previous Concept releases. Note I forgot to include the top-fluorescent lit gradient that @Gingeprovided in the ZIP files, so it's available as a little 42kb BMP file as part of this download if you prefer a more 'authentic' reel gradient! Thanks to the anonymous ROM providers (you know who you are!), and also @loo and @vectra666 for the MAB ROMs from the Super Red BAR layout. Thanks to @Reg and everyone else here. As much as making this layout nearly tipped me over the edge, emulation and by extension this community does give me an escape which is far healthier than spending real money in arcades .

  34. 99% of the time they are of no use once a layout is released. The settings (apart from possible stake, prize and percentage) combinations are of little use. Things like less flashy attract mode for venues that don't want the machine to be too distracting, odd percentage (so adding 1% to percentage payout), and stuff like that. On some machines it'll switch between different profiles (softer for pub, harder for arcade), again the options are pretty much limitless. By all means tinker, you can't really break a machine (worst comes to worse you can re-extract the layout). Best to make changes with the machine's virtual doors open, then closing the doors should reboot with new settings.

Hello All, Wow, into the end of February 2024, sorry for delay have had five weeks of bad health on the mend now! SO.. here is my third layout of the year I have been asked by many players of MFME for a DX £25 Party Time - so here it is in my own updated cabinets Top Box downsized and enhanced lamping, and included the 'rough' Confetti lamping which Astra missed out when released in 1998 post production, so included it for a unique effect. Slaves resized to match my other upright Astra Multiplayers in sizing, all have new clearer buttons for MFME members, better quality belly glass artwork which is more vivid. Reels used Diamond Jackpots symbols as have the glasses, as kept it clearer and simple for high Jackpot releases to come* Set to 20p £8 JP - 86%. To load select master top box file, if any green borders on show use Function and F1 to clear. Hope you all enjoy the refreshed layout! There is some brand new ASTRA layouts in the making so stay tuned.. and more revised ones as have better photos and resources to refresh some layouts back from MFME 5/6!! With thanks to bullionbars2011 for beta testing for me too! *HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THE KIND COMMENTS AND PRAISE for the previous releases of PT on £8 £15 and £25, I may redo the £5, £10 ones at a later date.. Here's a trio layouts for Super MultiNudge by Concept, which oddly runs on Scorpion 2 hardware (as does the later dome-top Casino with the cream artwork!) I've classed it as a Hybrid DX, due to it not being original artwork - it is using a mix of modified Big 7 (online) artwork, and some bits I've made myself. There's layouts for : £5 jackpot at 20p play. £8 jackpot at 25p play. £10 jackpot at 30p play, and all the above are set at 90% which is a decent, but not overly nice percentage. I have however included a text file (switches.txt) showing the DIP switch settings to change stake and percentage - the only issue being that these layouts only support 20p, 25p or 30p. If you change them down to 2p, 5p or 10p play the machine will lock up when you collect the bank due to the second tube / hopper not being supported. I have not implemented it for a couple of reasons - lack of skill, but also my emulation cabinets currently only have £1 payout so not having 10p / 20p payout is fine for me. These layouts all use the same single ROM file. I've loads of other Super MultiNudge ROMs which look like they should work, but none of them do, so I'm using the original version supplied with @Ploggy's original 2009 DX release. I'll also thank Ploggy here for kindly allowing me to use the technical information from his layout - so all the reel positions, lamp numbers, checkboxes and other bits have come straight from his layout. Which is a lovely little layout and shows off the original artwork. I just fancied making something snazzy for my home cabinets using the artwork I had here! I've also included the more yellowed, top lit gradient from @Ginge that was provided with my original Big 7 layouts, in case people prefer the look of a fluorescent lit reel gradient, which is more accurate than my standard sunken reel gradient (which I personally like as it hides the jagged edges of reel windows!). The choice is yours Thanks to @Wizard for the emulator, thanks to everyone who plays and enjoys my layouts, and thanks to those who don't play and can't stand them

I was certainly not dissapointed, love the 4 reel games, the graphics and sound effects are absolutely top notch, had a "reel" good time learning with this Well done creators, I feel I may have started at the wrong end of the list as this is going to take some beating

Firstly, I must apologise about the quality of this release. I am still working through old layouts and I came across this one and considered that it was of very low quality and not to the quality of some of my previous work. The trouble with this was the flyer may have well been a mirror it was that glossy and it was a pure pain in the arse to do. Rather than delete it, I figured I'd share this so you can choose to keep or delete it!
