by Jove, I think I've cracked it !! It turned out to be a graphics setting within VirtualBox... - so I now have MFME running within Batocera ! - one retro system to rule them all !1 point

install ms runtimes and ya should be fine ...am native linux myself and confirmed working as of like around 5 years back1 point
