  3. Good call There is a long-term plan for real attract/gameplay sounds for each machine, in 3d sound - which should layer to provide an 'arcade ambiance'... but not high priority for now - so Arcade Sim will be pretty quiet for a good while yet without a handy file like this! Had a quick look in youtube, here's one that's been made 'virtually' (layering lots of MAME video games) : - this is probably more what the planned Arcade Sim system will sound like, but less 'busy' and more fruit machines (as it'll only play machines that are currently making sounds nearby based on state, at their relative volumes/qshifts/reverb/eq etc based on distance)

  4. Thanks for another awesome video! I'm with you, that DOF effect is pretty extreme right now, more just an initial proof of concept... the bloom will look better later (quite a lot later) when I can do the various work involved in normalising the layouts so they're all of a more balanced exposure... if you play brighter layouts like Game Of Gnomes or Bonanza, it's currently kinda blinding with bloom on Shows the effect is possible at least though!

  5. If it's working ok now, I'll just consider it a 'one off' for the moment, this is all experimental stuff - the scraping technique I am using at present is far from robust... though I am only focussing on fixing permanent problems. I had that bug re the DOND silver covered reels elsewhere in another tracking system, I've added a note about it to the public bugsheet. The alignment again is something I'm aware off, but needs various work - I think I know how to solve it but time-consuming to revise. Have added a note to the public bugsheet. I saw some cabinets, when standing looking at them from a 90 degree angle and from behind the machine, you could see what looks like the framework at the top side of the cab was detached from the rest of the cab. That is my placeholder eclipse models - they just aren't great quality haha, I don't have the patience or skills to do great models. This will be solved at some future point with more work on the 3d models. Note added to public bugsheet. the feature entry music on Adders and Ladders is cut short and when you get a win, it normally does a drop down of the lamps to the win gained and then does a countdown on amounts lighting the feature exchange against amounts one at a time, but AS immediately show them, rather than light a lamp at a time Music will be down to emulator/roms... Adders and Ladders has some wrong lamps in source layout, this is actually getting worked on at some point, as I need to fix them to make a no-chr chip patched rom - that may fix a lamp issue or two (the number reel has issues on source layout for instance, is 'shorted with Skill Cash I believe).

Here is a old school 2p £2 jackpot machine by bwb called Fruit swop it`s dad is called Fruit King and mum is called Lucky Lady . This was created from images taken from you tube videos couldn`t find any decent pictures and hasn`t turned out to bad considering my photo shop skills are very basic. Thanks go to the following people @A:E for use of his Lucky lady Cabinet/Reel symbols. @Louie Bee for roms over at Mecca. Steve Lancett for his you tube videos of this machine. @Big J for playtest. And last but the most important thank you of all goes to @Wizard for his creation R.I.P 1965-2020 sadly missed.

  12. I am procrastinating as I have house tasks to do that I'm putting off! So I've done a special one-off manual muck about with the layout, to make it more 'night mode' so it can now be translated over. This will really be done by a load of upcoming work to 'normalise' various properties of the layouts for consistency, but that's a long way off. The darkening...

  13. The reel bounce, like many features right now, is just at proof of concept stage, and is affected by framerate on the PC (far from ideal). You can disable 'Reel Physics' from the options menu when in the arcade... until one day when the proper system is done, and per machine settings are set up

  16. Wow! This has come such a looooong way! I just reloaded this, and I love the older games you have added:)) One thing i would suggest though (this is not a complaint). Please reduce the reel bounce if possible. I keep thinking the reels are knackered Keep up the fantastic work:)

  17. Briliant - thanks for that comprehensive response. I can answer the above - the orignal designer was Mike, using resourses for me - he has long left the scene. I kept that layout updated to new versions of MFME and I think the amount of time I have put into that - it would be fair to mark that as me.

  20. That is what I will find out. I should think so as I found a simple way of getting round the 2880 pixle height limit Fortunatley I bought a 1060 a few years ago from my winnings at an MGM casino slot:) That will run 8K. I think now is the best time to get 4K as prices are good, and the tech has really evolved. However you have to get one with good upscaling! I got mine 6 years ago before all things were standard, Samsung threw the best of everything in it at the time. It upscales MFME layouts amazingly well, so I cantwait to replace the crap TCL one I use on my cab, when my new board arrives.

  21. Just watched this video... ..absolutely stunning - it really is as work of art here @johnparker007 and my one sadness is @Wizard is not here to see this. If I may - on the likely huge list - there are three clubbers I would love to play in this arcade - to emulate the world I used to really play in a snooker hall. M1AB - Monopoly Club S2 - Cops N Robbers Club MPU4 - Adders and Ladders Club I don't know the status of cabinets etc - but by good to have them next to each other and playable in this would I be a pig in poo ! If I may add those to a future list please ?
