  1. A new patch is live It has 6 new machines, they are: - DOND Cops 'n' Robbers - Club Take Note - Club Pink Panther - Ant 'n' Dec Saturday Night Takeaway - DOND Feeling Lucky - DOND East & West Wing Tech update: There were to be more machines before the next patch, but I'm having to break this up, as I've hit an issue with scaling up the machine library. Currently, there is an issue with how Unity handles its internal 'Asset Database', that means one of the stages of the process is now taking increasingly longer per machine. It used to be ~30 mins per machine on this stage, now it's around 90 mins. So - I have to rework it, so that intermediate individual perspective-corrected lamps are stored outside of the project folder - as that's what's slowing it down (there can often be multiple lamps in just one MFME component, so now we have so many machines everything is slowing to a crawl for every single lamp I make, as Unity trawls through everything in the project). (I can't queue processing until the end, due to how I'm currently reading things back from written pngs via textures during the conversion process itself), it all needs a fair bit of changing. I reckon that stage will go from 90 minutes and ever-increasing, down to around 5-10 minutes (and not increasing as I add more machines) - so a very necessary step, and a false time economy for me to put it off any longer I've also identified some other smaller things where I can streamline a little more time in the conversion process, so I'm going to try sort all these time improvements out in this next phase - so future conversions will be a bit less time-heavy.

Another classic from the dutchies. Been testing the roms we had for this one every time when there was a new update of MFME and with the last update we finally got it working. Big thanks to Emper0r and PatjePSV for helping on this machine.

Way back in March of 2021 @Clo06 released a classic of this QPS machine which is play on War of the Worlds (similar music to the movie score). Fast forward to now and I fancied trying my hand at another DX, after Red Square, using the hi res artwork that @Player uploaded to the artwork thread. After spending three full days on it this is what I came up with. I used a couple of new techniques in photoshop for the lamps and overall machine lighting. I also learnt a couple of new things with the MFME tools thanks to @vectra666. This is new territory for me as this one has a disc reel which I had a silly mistake on with the lamps, however thanks to @Clo06 it was sorted in minutes. I try not to use a classic as a start unless I am struggling to get the rom started. I want to try and start from scratch myself just so I can learn how to do it all. I love creating the artwork side of doing a DX but I also love to learn how to get the roms running and all the settings. NOTE: There is artwork to change this to the £6 and £4 version which was suggested I do, however I have a short attention span so decided to leave this open for anyone who wants to add it later themselves. Anyway I hope you enjoy the layout. *********************************************************** Thanks goes out to the following for their resources and input:- @Clo06 for the classic to which I used as a reference to get the rom running and also for help with the disc reel @Player for the hi res artwork upload @infection for the list of machines which still needed a DX doing and also for beta testing Big BIG THANKS goes out to this guy..... @vectra666 for help with finishing off and tidying up, suggesting a few changes and also for supplying some replacement images to use in other machines. Thanks also to everyone listed above and a couple others for BETA testing.

  4. Not got to that one yet, so there's a chance it'll convert ok - and will be in the next batch if so It has, I've added a bug to the sheet. It's to do with 'doubled up' button images on the source layouts, I haven't sorted that properly yet. Once I have, I'll rerun the conversions and the machines will be fixed in the following patch after that work

As always, mega thanks to the awesome late and great Wizard for the amazing MFME emulator. Secondly, lots of thanks to @infection for providing the brilliant image of the machine. Thirdly, thanks to @vectra666 for providing some advice that I may have missed (well I will have missed because it's something that I've not really been checking (the text that shows the maximum that can be won from any game). Finally, I didn't realise that I hadn't actually changed the text for when I did the original DX version of this machine (can't believe it's not been only a few months since I did it!). I was requested by @infection to do an updated version of the machine and I hadn't realised how low quality my last release was until I started working on this one (approximately a third in size). Since I have learned so much doing them and enjoying seeing people love playing them, it gives me great pleasure to release this one at last. There were some green and blue colours on the game part that you couldn't see what was what, so I manually edited those. I have also edited various parts that had flash flare (is that the right term?) on and I am really pleased how I have removed them, including the bottom part (red), some of the buttons and other parts of the machine. Anyhow, enough waffle, enjoy the game, take care and stay safe

First of all being a big Eminem fan I'm saddened to say this is a mute layout, would have loved to have heard the samples based on the artwork (Thanks to @Player for uploading!) Thanks as always go to Wizard for MFME & the rom providers, any issues please report back. Enjoy!
