As always, mega thanks to the awesome late and great Wizard for the amazing MFME emulator. Secondly, lots of thanks to @infection for providing the brilliant image of the machine. Thirdly, thanks to @vectra666 for providing some advice that I may have missed (well I will have missed because it's something that I've not really been checking (the text that shows the maximum that can be won from any game). Finally, I didn't realise that I hadn't actually changed the text for when I did the original DX version of this machine (can't believe it's not been only a few months since I did it!). I was requested by @infection to do an updated version of the machine and I hadn't realised how low quality my last release was until I started working on this one (approximately a third in size). Since I have learned so much doing them and enjoying seeing people love playing them, it gives me great pleasure to release this one at last. There were some green and blue colours on the game part that you couldn't see what was what, so I manually edited those. I have also edited various parts that had flash flare (is that the right term?) on and I am really pleased how I have removed them, including the bottom part (red), some of the buttons and other parts of the machine. Anyhow, enough waffle, enjoy the game, take care and stay safe

Note - this might be a UHD / 4K release (it's 1600px wide by 2160px tall) - but note the source is my scan of the original flyer which is a little grainy, it'll not be as sharp as other 4K releases based on digital flyers, glass scans or high quality photos. I've done what I can with the source. Also note - this layout was actually a sort of 24 hour challenge for myself. To the best of my knowledge it is complete and working correctly, if there are any issues I will correct them!! Right, with that out of the way, here's my layout of Lotta Luck. @Chopaholicrequested a fix for an old layout, and I took it upon myself to quickly make a newer, updated layout which works in the latest emulator with hopefully better artwork. Here's some layout notes taken from the layout - hope you enjoy it! Any issues do let me know

  3. Would be a nice idea for something like this to be created, but in answer to your question listed... Classic - a layout that is basically boxes and drawn out but still plays exactly as the real machine would, just looks different. These are usually the under workings of a DX, which brings us to; DX - a layout based on the flyer or photos of the real machine. PDX - a self-drawn DX, so a graphical representation of the machine, but not done using official stuff, this could be because they haven't been able to be sourced, or because the quality of resources is too low.

  4. The getting started guide is excellent and I've had no technical issues getting started , so thank everyone for this it's awesome. My only question is there an FAQ or newbie guide for the definitions. I'm very new to this and a few times I've seen things referenced like "DX release coming soon" or JPM. I'm somewhat confused as to which of these are a type of layout, release, or manufacturer. If I'm over looking a post that highlights these a nudge in the correct direction would be appreciated. Thanks!

  5. ...and you are the first answer. I've pinned this post in this area - everybody - stay on-topic here, this is not a debate, memory or whatever thread. Please just post acronyms and meanings such as @slasher and his post or below that maybe useful to new members. JPM - Fruit Machine manufacturer. BFM - Fruit machine manufacturer, also know as Bellfruit. Barcrest / IGT / SGC ( Scientific Games Corporation ) - Fruit machine manufacturers ( basically the same company across various owners ). RED - Red Gaming, was another brand for Barcrest back in the day. When downloading roms, these would be the same BBS as Barcrest years ago. Vivid - Again was another brand from Barcrest back in the day. When downloading roms, these would be the same BBS as Barcrest years ago. BWB - Another brand from Barcrest back in the day. When downloading roms, these would be the same BBS as Barcrest years ago. QPS - Once an indpendant manufacturer before owned by BFM. Mazooma - Again once an indpendant manufacturer before owned by BFM. Empire - Great fruit machine manufacturer that was very friendly to the scene many years ago.

  7. THIS SHOULD WORK IF FOLLOWED STEP BY STEP. I'VE KEPT IT SIMPLE TO MAKE IT OPEN TO I HOPE MOST PEOPLE - OLD, YOUNG AND OFF-WORLD. LOADING MFME FOR THE FIRST TIME Due to lots of new members who are looking to play games that have recently joined, there seems to be some problems, at least in my PM's in getting games running. Here is a real basic guide for getting everything running. 1. The first thing you need is MFME, go to the link below. Downloads You can download the emulator from there, below is what to look for. For version v19 and later of MFME, you run the installer that you have downloaded and it will auto install for you. Once installed, you need to udpate. Click on the About button and then the Check for Updates button. 2. For older versions of MFME, v6.1 and below you need to install June 2010 DirectX runtime. Direct X Runtime Link 3. or older versions of MFME, v6.1, once downloaded you will have a file in your downloads directory. 4. When extracted you will have a folder that looks like this below. TAKE NOTE ON HOW YOU EXTRACT THE FILE AS YOU DO THIS FOR LAYOUTS. 5. Now you want to play a layout, go to wherever you want to and download a layout as before, the download link is in GREEN. If you don't know how to open a .RAR file, check point 3. and 4. that showed you how to open it for MFME v6.1 6. Whatever method you used on step five ( 5. ) to extract MFME, YOU REPEAT ( DO AGAIN AS BEFORE ON STEP 5 ) ON THIS ITEM YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED. 7. You should have something like this. I have shown in GREEN the .GAM file. This is what you load into MFME. 8. With MFME running that you downloaded in step four ( 4. ), click on FILE, LOAD GAME and browse to the LOCATION ( AS SHOWN ON STEP 8 ) where the .GAM file is located and then you CLICK ON IT. I have shown in GREEN where to do this. 9. Your game will be loaded as below. You are on YOUR OWN FROM HERE AND THERE IS NOTHING ELSE I CAN SHOW YOU when it comes to lauching and running a game within MFME.

First things first, as always, many thanks to the late and great @Wizard for his fantastic emulator. Secondly thanks to @infection for providing the image for the top part of the machine. Now, onto the machine. After not working out how to get the lights looking right in the middle, I gave up on it for a while and did another one Little Devil. I thought I'd have another look at it and realised I was overly complicating the lamps and decided to leave that part until last.... well that was until I realised that the gameplay was going to cover them and I had to do them first instead.... Anyhow, enough waffle, I have to say that I think this is the one I'm most pleased with at the moment as my editing skills have allowed me to fix issues that were there. I've edited..... Reels - replaced the stars with the actual images Number Reel - Changed from grey background and blue to black background and pink with the colours in the middle (not as good as the original machine due to the size of the images on them but I'm happy with how it's turned out £10 Icon - Bottom right was £15 so I edited it and think it looks like a 0 and fits in with the rest of the layout. Text on Top Of Machine - changed it to show Ten Pounds instead of Fifteen Pounds and 25p Play instead of 10p Play KNOWN ISSUES - I can't work out the number for the word "Lose" at the bottom of the machine and I'm not sure whether the word "Nudges" has a light or not. I have left it as it is until I can find out what the numbers are. I don't think it detracts from the machine in any way really. Finally, I did this in a high resolution so I hope it will play okay on your machine. It is the first high resolution I've done like this and I don't fancy going through it all again to make a smaller one, so if you do find it has issues and want to make it work on your machine by making it smaller, please feel free, but I think it should be okay because I don't use blended lamps Enjoy the machine, take care everyone and stay safe!!! Love and respect to you all

Not exactly a new layout but a different variation this time its the standard £6 20p play rom thanks to @Big J for bringing up the subject of this rom via a topic, then to @Geddy for uploading several versions so i basically changed the cash decals to match and it plays a much better game than the previous 5p release it even gives the "hidden" features within the hi lo gamble, something i thought couldn't happen, And Thanks again to @Big J for the playtest prior to release Also included but not titled is the even boring 2p set within a layout, which you can always change the jackpot to £3 cash via a checkbox on the righthand side of the layout did they ever release this on £4.80jp? shortcuts are as standard plays in mfme v20.1 Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!

Okay, after thinking this was going to be an easy one, I looked at another machine then got excited about doing a better version of my previous release of Mario Karts and then remembered this one and lost interest in this and wanted to just enjoy playing some games on my laptop and doing various designs for T-Shirts, Mugs etc and also putting some photos I've taken for competitions and won one. Anyhow, enough of that waffle, I am pleased to release this one, even though the lit face has a bit too much light on it. I will always give thanks first to @Wizard for his fantastic emulator and the help he gave me whilst I was learning how to create these DX's and hope he's looking down on us all with great fondness and warmth in his heart. Secondly, thanks to @Mavroz for agreeing to let me release my version and I think @infection provided images for this (it's been that long and I can't find the messages, but think he deserves thanks for the new images provided for all the other machines and forthcoming ones I will be releasing). I did my best to make it better but got to the point that I just wanted to release it and as @Mavroz is going to release a version with better graphics when they get better images, I thought I'd release this as it is and hopefully you will enjoy it I did have thoughts of doing T-Shirts, Hoodies, Mugs etc. based on some fruit machine layouts or whatever and wondered what you think and what you might like to see? I do have a Facebook page that I can upload these to so if you'd like to see them or anything else retro related, it's at Multi Retro Mania (I hope that I'm allowed to mention it on here). Anyhow, I'd like to finish by saying I hope that everyone is keeping well and safe and I am so proud to be part of this fantastic MFMEF (Multiple Fruit Machine Emulator Family)

Maygay - Club Tutankhamun - 25p - £250 - Epoch I wasn't going to release this initially as Club machines are not my thing and i also didn't think the Cashpot and Reserve pot increased at all but they did.... slowly, very slowly. HUGE thanks and appreciation go to @Reg for the usual playtesting and the time he put in to build the Cashpot and Reserve to maximum. Reel bands have been re-created and are not original. Enjoy, it was a pain and long winded to create.

Was a bit nervous as is my first time with this so didn't want to screw it up uploading it, if I have made a mistake anywhere please let me know. Now on to the layout, by @bungle and myself. We were going to do the original cab but have done it this way as not only is it my first release but most importantly we are dedicating this to @Wizard as if it wasn't for him this wouldn't be happening. Looking forward to a few more of these and will be honest I nearly lost it trying to sort the bits and pieces out but Bungle was quite patient with me so massive thanks to him as did Pm @Reg around March last year and wanted to do a Xmas release for 2020 but things got in the way and I was a bit lazy, was intending to do a classic of something but someone talked me out of it. This is set at 20p play with a £4.80 Jackpot and I have a serious history with this machine which most of you already know, so finally the thanks, @bungle for his patience with me and great help in making this come alive. @slasher who has helped me understand the emulator a lot better when it comes to designing as he really started the ball rolling with me. @Reg for initially giving me the confidence last year (sorry for the delay) and finally Wizard who has made my dreams come true with this world, this is dedicated to you bud and done my own edition.
