  1. Added the ability to drag with left mouse to draw a selection rectangle to very quickly select group(s) of machines. You can hold down ctrl or shift if you want to add further selections the same as when clicking on the machines to select them. It's been a bit of messing about trying to get this vaguely decent - I tried a straight '2d' rectangle and that is rubbish for selecting say a row of machines, without picking up neighbouring machines due to the perspective. So I've gone for this custom approach where the rectangle it draws is 'in the world'... so then it works for any camera rotation/perspective, and is much better at selecting a row of machines without picking up unwanted nearby ones. Also I originally had the rectangle drawing on top of everything, but it seems to 'make more sense' if the machines obscure it, conveys more that you're selecting an area of the ground... will probably keep tweaking this a bit, then start looking at the 'snap alignment' stuff. Probably makes more sense to see it in action, so here's a vid

  2. I don't have a photo to provide I'm afraid but I just wanted to add a note. I'm nearly 40 years old now, and I'm sat in my bedroom having a chuckle saying to myself 'I'm oot-a here' playing Andy Capp, just like I did when I was many years younger growing up living in a pub. It means more than it probably sounds like it should to me, and it wouldn't be possible without you Wizard/Chris. Take it easy my man.

  3. Yesterday I made a test cabinet and put the screen in it today. When I have received the buttons I will continue.

  4. The extra angles are planned, I'm just doing the simple user-friendly mode first (the extra angles will be in the 'Expert Mode' that can be accessed with the switch at the bottom). Carpets - I'm thinking it'll come with a good choice, but also the option to add your own texture... plus some other (optional) bits and bobs, to make it look less 'pristine'... things like stain decals, cigarette butts, the occasional dropped shiny coin, and all these elements would randomly placed on the carpet. All stuff for later on though, just keeping focused on getting basic functionality in for now, as there's still lots to do there

  5. Started looking at the 'snap alignment' stuff, it's a bit of a rabbit hole (has to work even if the user has selected a whole arcade's-worth of machines and it looking to move them around etc)... but for now I've used a bit of what I've done so far to get something in I wanted for a while So now, it 'auto-places'' the next machine to the right of the one you just placed, making it tons faster to get the games set up in the arcade. Here's a vid of me mucking about with it

  6. Wow, that's a really efficient way of doing it. I was going to bring that up earlier when you kept selecting them one by one but I didn't want to jump the gun and I am glad I didn't as you've already thought of it and done yet another cracking job of implementing!

After the original classic DX by @Clo06, he kindly sent me the unlocked version and I made this . As his request, I waited a month before I released it. Thanks, as always, to the late, fantastic Wizard for his awesome MFME emulator. It is one of the older machines and I saw a machine that had £3.00 and £6.00 jackpot amount with the faded £3.00 so I tried to recreate it here. This is possibly the fastest one I've ever done. I started it one evening and then completed it 2 days after Anyhow, hope you enjoy it and you're staying safe and keeping well.

Here it is, I'm pretty happy with how it's come out. If anything is obviously wrong, let me know - I will update it if required! Only doing a £15 version at the moment, I will consider the £5 version later. NOTE - I designed this on my two gaming PCs, this is a UHD layout and does feature a fair few blended lamps so will potentially not run well on lower specced / older machines. I do apologise if that is the case! Thanks to @Reg for graphical advice and hints, and @Boulderdash for playtesting - do note that I have done some work on this after testing and may have introduced new errors, so again, if you find issues, let me know Notes copied from the layout :

After doing Volcano, I saw this game and whilst not being a big fan of it, I wanted to do another layout. I hope that if you like the game, you enjoy my version. NB - It has the original notes on it (I couldn't change them) and I have seen there should be more individual lights on the Red Bar (and possibly others) but I'm waiting for some information on the bulb numbers for them. Hope you enjoy MRM

Hiya, welcome to my newest release, Holy Smoke. Firstly, thanks as always to the late and great Wizard for his amazing and fantastic emulator. To @wearecity for letting me release it and his brilliant classic layout and the effort made for this machine. I hadn't realised the reels weren't the same as the arcade machine until @wearecity kindly pointed it out and suggested I improve it if I could. I'm not the best at graphics drawing but I hope you like what I've done with it. If there are any things that should be lit that aren't, please let me know and I'll try and update it. Hope you're all well and safe! Love and hugs to you all!!!

  13. Is there a better copy knocking around of this? (no offence to original creator), looks good on my 256 colour Amstrad from 1986 but not so good on my modern laptop.

  14. I did originally think of doing it like that... I still might.... so if they just add a single machine then it does something like that, but if they add a bunch of machines, they appear on the 'spawning strip' next to the arcade ready to be selected/dragged to where they need to go

  15. You need a 45o angle so the corners are used then you can make those machines in the centres of arcade , machine islands will we be able to change the style of carpet to suit I’d like a brown carpet that’s been there since the 70’s with fag burns and greasy soil marks the ones where you drop a quid and it magically disappears into the Paisley pattern on the floor and some plastic palm trees and cheap maxi pac vending machines. Full of fags or cold hot chocolate and chicken soup, I loved chicken soup in those little paper cups until i drank it and got third degree burns down my throat happy days

  16. Yeah haha it tickled me anyway! Is it worth having the user select where to dump the machine? Thinking rollercoaster tycoon where you pick say a merry-go-round and it gives you it as a transparent image to place somewhere? Would make adding multiple units in one go a ball ache though I guess

  17. Think they have to be parallel or something, someone needs to step in on that one. And I think you'd need something else to power it as they maybe 24v and not 12. I see your point with just 1 hopper, having 2 gives more options though. Re. Buttons, not as hard as it looks!

  19. Not the same without coins! Last year I saved £600 in mine. Coin mech ME126 off BF74 at the Mecca £20 - £30, and coin acceptance is 99.9%. I uploaded a wire diagram somewhere which is quite similar to an SR5i coin mech which a lot use. Universal hoppers, rather expensive in my opinion. £80 for two. Then you have to fiddle attaching shutes to them to payout etc. And somewhat make your own coin routing. Again a wire diagram is available. You'll need an old PSU to power the coin mech and hoppers, maybe an old psu came with it? If you cross 2 wires on a psu it will run fine and not need switching on (maybe someone can explain that better). There are alternatives to old PSU's but if you have a spare, upcycle!

  20. Monty Python looks mint, there really is some MINT layouts coming out recently and some have stood the test of time. This will be an interesting post of how you build yours, give us a shout if you need any guidance as I and others have built there own.

  22. sent it to him @Big J the version he had i uploaded to fruit-emu, don't think i uploaded anything to here so it would be pre mfmev5 and the lamps on the reels would've been messed up also never did get the £4.80 version working if anyone can get it alive free feel to have a go and up it to this topic, i think the £4.80 decal is lamped

  23. Tube payout not hopper but know what you mean, I have the full layout but grrrrr can't give it to you. It should pay in £1's, 50's and 10's. Had to sort the payout effects too but haven't played this in some time as usually I stick with the six quid version. I know I am not allowed as rules are rules but if no one has objections then I can sling it to @vectra666 who can give it to you but think that is circumventing, I just know your decent. FE hahaha go figures, got mine from here.

  26. You say Rio but isn't Rio the round top used from the 2000s onwards? Can't remember what these old flat top cabinets are called. As for the graphics, it would be a nice easy redraw as it's not the most complicated art. I could probably do the machine graphics but would need a nice image of the cabinet to transplant the art into. Not that I'm saying I'd do it, just that I feel I'd be capable of it. There's others that could do a better job than me (and faster too!).

  31. I had a look, if you mean where I accidentally made a row of Smash n Grabs go through some other machines, it was an accident! I'm thinking I may have some kind of 'spawning strip' that's a different color that can't be 'built' on, so the machines always appear in safe place, adjacent to your arcade as you are working on it. The current system of just spawning them wherever the camera is looking isn't really working too great... That's quite a challenge, we haven't even got the kitchen sink in yet
