  2. Hi everyone I found an old 21” tv in the attic And some old mdf board that someone was throwing out the other day so I though I’d have a crack at a building a bar top cabinet my woodworking skills are pretty crap as you can see in the pics have put hinges on front so it lifts up for access to tv ,and on the Button panel so can pull it down to work on the button etc .Have ordered 2 x pacdrive for lamps and a I pac for the buttons which will hopefully come soon. Just thought this would be a good first build and a learning curve on how mfme works with a pac drive and a I pac. Wish I had done it in portrait mode now but never mind maybe the next one will be bigger and better Will keep you posted as project goes on.

This is a machine that I did not do the DX for, but if it was not for the resources I provided would not have happened - at least this way. Absolutely love this machine and was the first physical machine I ever owned. This has been updated for MFME5, however I have purposely left the reels as they were to keep the original shaded effect and not used opaque reels.

  5. As wizard has said, its better to use 5v leds in the buttons. You can simply swap out the existing bulbs for led ones and use the buttons you have already purchased. I wouldn't bother with that power supply as you need to connect the 12v source to wiring inside your machine and you can do that from the power supply which will drive the pc.

  6. IPAC is for inputs, PACDrive is for outputs. You can use an external power supply for the lamps but bear in mind the pacdrive has a total current limit of 500mA, so driving 16 12v lamps will likely blow it up, this is why people use LEDs in their buttons.

  7. No. If you're using a pc, find an unused connector which you can use. Usually red yellow and black wires. Yellow is 12v , red is 5v and black is ground. Splice into the yellow wire to use as a 12v source. You don't need those connectors from ebay unless you want to create a connector that is. (I just joined them together using a terminal connector) As for your bulbs. You can only use 5v led bulbs on the pacdrive. If you use 12v bulbs (like traditional fruit machine bulbs) you will also need to daisy chain each bulb with the 12v source and then connect to the ipac. READ THE ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS AS PUTTING A 12V SOURCE ON THE PACDRIVE WILL DESTROY IT. I have a wiring diagram for a 126dfx which shows how to wire each pin to the rest of your build. Search ebay for dupont connectors as these are really useful for connecting wires to the pins of a coin mech.
