  1. Common questions that maybe asked by New Members to this site - I will build on this list as and when needed. Nope. This site you have to be over 18 to access the content. If you are found to be lying about your age you will have your account closed. If it is believed you are lying about your age, you will have your account closed. Gambling is a very serious problem and we do not encourage minors to be involved in this hobby. New Members now need to be welcomed to the site by multiple exisiting members. This is done via reputation responses using reactions - your account will automatically be moved to member status when you have the apporiate reactions. If a new member for some reason has no ability to post and society has collapsed to a point that they consider it impossible to do a new introduction post, in some cases I will support if they reach out to me - but not all. It has to be a damn good reason. Rep goes up as well as down. If one if these was clicked on marked in green, then that is a -1 and that can prevent you hitting the right level of reputation before your account automatically moves to Member status and out of the reputation cycle. This means if asked a question by a member in the introductions, please be respectful with your response. New members are welcomed on reputation and that is solely in the hands of the existing membership. Too much bad reputation and it's "Game Over" in the introduction forum - remember members can only react to each post, so if you spam it's quicker for different members to react to this or you are offensive and knock down your reputation. Members are asked to only react once in a welcome thread so you should effectively need a series of members to say no and it cannot happen with just one member. Rep goes up as well as down as mentioned above when we speak about New Member status. You may have got yourself promoted by spamming threads and people have liked some comments in the New Member area, these have then been tidied up to add balance as you end up with a double like and this pushed you back to where you should be. Otherwise, you get into the forum and posted comments that generated a negitive reaction so you dropped back into New Member status when the reputation hit less than four. This one is a little too long to answer here, take a look at this thread, this will detail step by step instructions on how to setup the emulator and load your first game. Note that you will need to have interacted with the coummunity here to access the downloads in some areas on this site for the games. Loading MFME for the First Time You are likely to be a new user who needs to increase their reputation. Try posting in the introduction forum. There are download restrictions in place for members that do not support the site. At the time of writing the FAQ these are what they are set to assuming you are in a standard membership group. The limits above may go up, they may go down. The only way to remove them is given something back to the community on an ongoing manner or support the site. It is a manual process to do this - please wait as the PayPal needs to be matched up with the donating account. If concerned, send a PM to @Reg. This site is not like other sites, it's multifunctional meaning several download areas as it has different areas that do different things. There are two core areas as follows: From the top menu you have a Downloads tab, this is layouts from many .FML Artists. From DX'Cellent area you have multiple forums with downloads attached. These are all layouts from @Pook as this part of the site belongs to him and he is effectively hosted here and we share the same membership base. It is always possible to make layouts to play, but you need resources and the emulator to support the technical platform of the machine in question. If the following questions all have a positive answer, then the chances are yes in terms of resources. Does the emulator support the technical platform of the game. For example MPU3, SCORPION2, IMPACT ? Assuming yes to the above, the following now needs to be answered. Do we have a complete romset for the game - this must include in some cases both game and sound files ? If I am wanting a DX, do I have suitable pictures at the right quality and resolution ? If the answer is yes to all of the above, the next step is to get the layout made. You can either do this yourself otherwise post all the resources to the FML Artist's Corner of this site and see if anyone is prepared to do it. Everything that is done by designers is a free service - do not expect and simply be thankful for what there is already out there among the 2,000+ games that are currently available. Banning people is really not what this site is about, but there are some clear highlights here. Even if you have supported the site, you can still be banned and your support will not be returned as being a supporter does not put you above the rest of the membership in terms of what you "can" and "cannot" do. Accounts will never be deleted or posts removed, but I do trash the password and login email. If requested sometimes, I change the username if you are banned. eBay sellers are what we work towards stamping out here. They profit from other peoples work. If you support an eBay seller and think that it is "okay" to purchase the goods they sell without permission from the owners of the layouts or MFME ( that it breaks the T&C ), you will be banned. Duplicate accounts. Sometimes this goes into the redemption queue, other times you just get banned. Roll the dice, see what happens. Trying to sell illegal services on this site such as unofficial modifications to hardware. Anything else I have missed. You are a guest on this site.

After doing Volcano, I saw this game and whilst not being a big fan of it, I wanted to do another layout. I hope that if you like the game, you enjoy my version. NB - It has the original notes on it (I couldn't change them) and I have seen there should be more individual lights on the Red Bar (and possibly others) but I'm waiting for some information on the bulb numbers for them. Hope you enjoy MRM

  3. THIS SHOULD WORK IF FOLLOWED STEP BY STEP. I'VE KEPT IT SIMPLE TO MAKE IT OPEN TO I HOPE MOST PEOPLE - OLD, YOUNG AND OFF-WORLD. LOADING MFME FOR THE FIRST TIME Due to lots of new members who are looking to play games that have recently joined, there seems to be some problems, at least in my PM's in getting games running. Here is a real basic guide for getting everything running. 1. The first thing you need is MFME, go to the link below. Downloads You can download the emulator from there, below is what to look for. For version v19 and later of MFME, you run the installer that you have downloaded and it will auto install for you. Once installed, you need to udpate. Click on the About button and then the Check for Updates button. 2. For older versions of MFME, v6.1 and below you need to install June 2010 DirectX runtime. Direct X Runtime Link 3. or older versions of MFME, v6.1, once downloaded you will have a file in your downloads directory. 4. When extracted you will have a folder that looks like this below. TAKE NOTE ON HOW YOU EXTRACT THE FILE AS YOU DO THIS FOR LAYOUTS. 5. Now you want to play a layout, go to wherever you want to and download a layout as before, the download link is in GREEN. If you don't know how to open a .RAR file, check point 3. and 4. that showed you how to open it for MFME v6.1 6. Whatever method you used on step five ( 5. ) to extract MFME, YOU REPEAT ( DO AGAIN AS BEFORE ON STEP 5 ) ON THIS ITEM YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED. 7. You should have something like this. I have shown in GREEN the .GAM file. This is what you load into MFME. 8. With MFME running that you downloaded in step four ( 4. ), click on FILE, LOAD GAME and browse to the LOCATION ( AS SHOWN ON STEP 8 ) where the .GAM file is located and then you CLICK ON IT. I have shown in GREEN where to do this. 9. Your game will be loaded as below. You are on YOUR OWN FROM HERE AND THERE IS NOTHING ELSE I CAN SHOW YOU when it comes to lauching and running a game within MFME.

Welcome to my DX version of Mario Kart 64. I have never played the machine in the arcades but I saw a video on YouTube to try and get an idea what the lights looked like on the machine when it was running. My biggest concern and thoughts about it was how on earth am I going to do the parts that run round the gameplay and get them to look like the same lighting without any bits missing. I sorted this by lightening the image of the crops on the machine itself in GIMP and then using each one to mark the end of the previous one. I thought it would take the longest but when I got into it, it only took around 8 hours to do altogether. Anyhow, as always, thanks to Wizard for MFME and Johnnyafc for doing the Classic layout. I have got a lighter version of this as well and will upload it but I think I prefer this version

  12. "Wine for Wizard - The End" Good afternoon all ! So that is all folks, the Wine for Wizard celebration is over. To all members here, thank you for your support for this and taking us where we got to. The money raised here tops absolutely anything that we have ever raised on this site before and people went way further in some cases then just the base donation support. This statement is not to stand people out from the crowd, purely for this own sites protection make it very clear had this drive not had happened and the work here with the final total is at least 90% more then what this site would have got in the same period. Some of the peaks we had were beyond shocking on this journey and do not reflect normal modes of business for this site. This site will always be seperate from MFME in terms of where funds go, but the choice to go all in was the absolute right one here with the funds to say thank you to Wizard. The only purpose of this site is Fruit Machine Emulation and without the development of MFME, we'd not be here. The circle is complete. Wizard, thank you for all the years that you have thrown into the emulator and I look forward to T7 support in MFME v40 ! Joking aside, although I would absolutely love T7 support, when the scene became the scene we were at just MPU3/4 and that was all we had and we must look at where we have come. The additional techs that followed like Impact the M1AB, I often thought that was it - but god knows how many later, MFME just goes on and on and on... Over the years it has grown so big and never cost anyone any money whatsoever as it has always been free when known as MFME. Wizard, please consider the money you've had and the final cheque that brings the total as shown in the video, thanks from the members of the scene who are also members here at Desert Island Fruits. Thank you for everything you have done for this little hobby of ours - I hope you enjoy your Wine. The Membership of Desert Island Fruits. PLEASE DO NOT POST SPOILERS FOR ANYTHING ON THE VIDEO LET OTHERS SEE IT FOR THEMSELVES To wrap up and show that I was good to my word with everything going across...
