  2. Here we have a release of my personal software used on my touch screen home built fruit machine which I said I would share. It's about 90% done, all's I need to implement to it is a jukebox which is functionable using just the touch screen (any suggestions on this will be helpful). When you load TouchLaunch.exe if you press F12 you get more options, i.e. where the Emulator.exe is and your games folder, the game folders must be named as per the attachment or it won't recognize them. If you add your own games, within the game folder must be a thumbnail.jpg for it to display the thumbnail of the game. ESC closes it. As this is for my own use, I have only set it up for my needs and welcome any suggestions to improve it. Feel free to use or modify it in anyway. Touch Launch.rar

Evening, here's my dx of Sunday sport,a news paper themed fruity for the dodgy weirdo's out there Image of the flyer was grainy and blury so had to redraw everything apart from the background everything sits on. A few people wanted to see a dx when looking at the flyer i thought i could get something decent done with it,with alot of redrawing etc.No reel symbols too so iv'e redrawn the bars and used a close match for the 7's with some editing. Never gonna be a work of art due to the source material. Thanks to @Clo06 for the classic layout this is based on @Ross for the flyer he sent me & @Wizard for the new mfme. Short cuts are the usual's,this is a pretty slow game and will seem tight as at times,i got a streak on the real thing in a pub when i was 17,it paid me £64 on the cracking time feature,so it can pay. USE MFME V 19.8 & ABOVE ONLY.

  6. HI, I'm currently working through them all, I'm up to T's in Barcrest. After Barcrest, BWB, JPM and BFM are done it's going to be a matter of days. If I keep going the rate I am I should be finished the whole collection in about two weeks depending if real life gets in the way. I will eventually get them all done though. You can open an old .dat in v5.1 then save it as an .fml so it will run in v19 but of course it won't always have the tweaks that are possible in v19. That would have to be done separately. Good luck.

  9. 'Wine for Wizard'? Does that mean 'Kebab for Compost' is out the window then? CHEERS PAL!! I was looking forward to my 'Kebab for Compost' badge too. Seriously, I'm honoured to have been part of this scene and have so much respect for the chaps still pushing forward. I, just like others here, were consumed by fruit machines. If i don't say I was addicted, I'd be lying and still in denial. As Reg said earlier, and I can genuinely relate to this, him punting a full wage packet into a fruit machine, well that was the norm for me 20 years ago. And lots of chaps I've chatted with on the scene over the years have similar stories. Thankfully, those dark days for me are long gone. Now, I've a mortgage, a woman who came with a blinking Labrador called Dudley that if I were to be honest, 'and this is from a bloke who thinks dogs are stupid ball licking creatures sent to shit all over my perfectly lawned garden', I don't do dogs. Or cats... is a smart animal that at times, I think has a human spirit in that head of his. I know thats a bold paragraph up there and heres something even more bold. MFME isn't just a piece of code. For me, it was the beginning of the end of my addiction. Just like a nicotine patch weened me off the dreaded smokes, MFME weened me of the fruit machines. It's a very powerful medicine indeed. That alone deserves a contribution from me. Stay off the Prosecco, Pinot Grigio is ok, but if you can find it, Grand Sud, a genuine French wine makes all the stuff in UK stores taste like White Lightening. To Wizard Cheers pal. Tony

  10. "Wine for Wizard - Update" Just a note to say on behalf of this campaign things are going rather well and a many thanks for people that have dipped in so far. It's worth noting that some people have asked not to have badges so don't assume just because there is no badge they have not supported - the badge is default unless asked for it to be removed or the smaller one. Look at my profile for example here - I have absolutely supported but live in a world of no badges as I am just an Account Monkey ! I will not be given a raised total at any point - I just want this to be a surprise for Wizard when we hit the two month point. It also allows me to round it up by adding whatever to a nice round figure at the end. For anyone that has yet to support and donate Wine for Wizard, please take a look at the attached PDF. This document was about twenty years ago. I have updated it a little to swap names around ( IE - old users to their new user name ) but that is it. The point I want you to do is look at all the great DX's that we have from current .FML Artists and read through and look at the first emulations that were done. There is a section about the first memories of Fruit Machine Emulation and what people played. Take a look at the comments by a gentlemen called Michael Lynch. He has a picture of one of the first versions of what is now MFME, look how far it's come. If the graphical side is not far enough - then consider the techs. It used to be called FRUIT.EXE if I recall and it only every did two techs, you can pretty much have everything now. Rome was not built in a day, it took many years. MFME was not built in a day and it is still going and being built twenty years later. For everyone that has supported the Wine for Wizard drive, thank you. This is the first time in twenty years that we have ever done anything like this for the man that gave us everything on Fruit Machine emulation. If you are a lurker who has some cash to spare thinking it's OKAY others will support this thank you ( AKA - Wine for Wizard ) campaign then please remember that is has been built over twenty years with zero reward and do what you would hope would be done for you if roles were reversed once you have looked at the PDF attached. Thank you. 20 Years Ago.pdf

  11. Just a thought with the influx of new members whom this is being done for, would it be worth adding the roms to the layouts so they will work out of the box so to speak? At the moment if they download a layout they still have to find the right named roms to play the game. Us old hands would know what to do, but we would also know how to convert the old layout. Great work in converting them though, cant be a fun task

  13. Hi No probs at all however as some of the other guys have pointed out some of the older layouts have not yet been converted so if you want to play these you will need t grab V5 of the emulator as well

  14. Here another debutant on MFME. The Reel Thing DX by Cheese. The machine artwork used was Crystal Leisure's but the roms are ACE roms. The machine works absolutely fine and it's a twist on the similar JPM and ACE machines of the time, the way the features are done, a la watch for my hidden treasure style. Cheese notes on the side of the layout, give some issues with the original layout and they are still present after conversion. I cannot find a button number for the auto nudge to the features, but you can hit collect anyway and nudge manually. The_Reel_Thing.zip
