  1. Barcrest - Monty Python's Flying Circus - UHD

    Here it is, I'm pretty happy with how it's come out. If anything is obviously wrong, let me know - I will update it if required!
    Only doing a £15 version at the moment, I will consider the £5 version later.
    NOTE - I designed this on my two gaming PCs, this is a UHD layout and does feature a fair few blended lamps so will potentially not run well on lower specced / older machines. I do apologise if that is the case!
    Thanks to @Reg for graphical advice and hints, and @Boulderdash for playtesting - do note that I have done some work on this after testing and may have introduced new errors, so again, if you find issues, let me know

  2. Psycho Cash Beast Redraw

    In memory of Chris J. Wren
    Thanks go to..
    Wizard for MFME
    Geddy & Bugs for their classic (used as a base for this)

    Shortcuts included in the text file

    This was redrawn from the flyer by me in 2008 and has sat on an old hard drive since, a case of me being disillusioned by the fact that the more elements i had to redraw i felt no closer to where it should be.
    So i have decided to release it the way it was finished back then, probably a purists nightmare..
    Take it for what it is..
    Nick.

    **Update**
    Should be fixed now, knew i would cock it up.

  3. SUPER HYPER VYPER £6 20P

    thanks to wizard for mfme, thanks to leehaim for the original layout, thanks to @Road Hog Mad for the idea.
    thanks to classic designers all round..
    It's more of a size increase than an artistic upgrade but tbh I loved doing it as I will all the layouts i create, I mean no disrespect to any and every artist in fml land but I will keep learning and loving making layouts as always, as well you all know I try very hard to fill in the missing gaps where possible DX wise, however they are running out of course and art is hard to come by at times, where possible i will seek permissions to add my version of a layout, obviously where high res recent work has been done there's no point but with the new 2022 software and mfme 20.1 options only now available it's possible to do things that weren't possible 10-20 years ago, basically I'm trying to ensure it's fully understood it's love of the games and the artwork that drives me to do layouts, not a ego trip attempt to do a better version etc..
    I've started a request thread, I'll do my best to help as always!
    anyways the mrs played this earlier, she's never played a fruit ever, after a brief tutorial explaining why the reels flash and move haha, she gave it a thumbs up and wants to go to mr p's to spend £20 hahaha
    so that should tell you it's alright eh
    enjoy
    WOODSY
    now has @serene02 's unbelievably realistic redrawn coin mech, i did only learn photoshop at the same time i did mfme layout creation so i apologize for little errors  or big

  4. Las Vegas Strip £8 token & £10 cash

    thanks to wizard for the amazing mfme. It's crazy!!
    thanks to @vectra666 @No1Stoney @spa @baz1379 @Dean @marie2003 and many others who bit by bit have made the jigsaw work to a releasable standard imo.
    thanks to @Road Hog Mad for sourcing new images semi h-r that i cut out and stitched into several other bits and bobs to make a layout.
    there are two version's £8 token jp and £10 cash jp both 20p play and set at 86%
    i have had the biggest struggle so far with this game, honestly the most stressful layout of the lot that i've done. But i hope it's been worth it, it's the name trail that proved incredibly difficult to get right..
    hope you enjoy the blast from the pier's past.

  5. Gold Rush Stampede (3 Player Stand Up) - Barcrest

    Here we have Gold Rush Stampede - Stand up 3 Player. Set on £25 / 30p / 90% by Barcrest
    Many thanks to @infection who again provided imaged for this release.
    This has taken a LOT of time to get right. It's still not 100% perfect due to the quality of the images, and the strange thing where some of the lamps on the top board are lit using the slave units (this is the reason why the bottom 5 or so lamps on the left and right hand side of the top board are not lit - This is a limitation I cannot think of a way around). Also I've had to 'guess' a few of the lamp numbers so they may not act 100% to the real thing. These things do not have a lamp test mode to help! Also I have been scratching my head for a long time trying to figure out how to get the Barcrest multiplayers to work and link-up in the emulator. Finally figured it out 🤯
    With that being said, I hope you enjoy this release as much as I enjoyed the challenge of creating it.

  6. Al Murrays DX by Multi Retro Man

    Okay, where do I begin? Well I started this months and months ago and after straightening the machine up, I quickly realised how much effort had gone into the classic by @Reg especially on the dartboard lighting and thought I might not be able to actually do the DX after all.
    Anyhow, after doing other ones and not thinking I couldn't do it, I thought I will do it and I have done so
    As always with my thanks, it has to be to the late, great Wizard for his fanastic emulator. Still saddens me to think he's not with us any more.
    Thanks to @Reg for the classic layout in the first place.
    Thanks go to @infection as I'm sure I got the image from his collection and if not, I would still like to thank him for his efforts getting all he currently has.

    I have created 3 images on the top right that show £5, £10 and £20 inserts. The lighting next to the coin insert is for inserting £1. I think I took the lockout off but if not, simply edit it and disable the lockout option, then you can tap it to insert £1.

    Keys are the usual ones with the additional numeric keypad 123456 for the hi left, middle and right etc.

    Now the good bits and bad bits.
    Good - It works fine and I haven't found any issues
    Bad - I cannot work out what light it needs for 50p play, so I used the same one as the 30p play. If anyone knows what it is, please let me know and I'll update the additional messages so you can edit it or I can update it as required.

    Finally, as always, I hope you enjoy playing the machine and I hope you all stay safe and keep well.

  8. Cloud 999 2p,5p,10p & 20p/ £2.40-£3-£6 Dx's

    Here's some nostalgia for you in the form of the iconic Cloud 999, these releases are the different stake/jackpot ratio's you didn't normally see in the arcades in the early/mid 1990's
    firstly you'll notice the reel lamps flash oddly, this is due to the Character isn't set correctly,
    @hitthesix, @spa and @johnparker007 tried to figure it out without success but along came @Ginge with this layout bundle with the lamps (excluding reel lamps) in order and ready to go, all i had to do was re-decal the existing artwork which the ££'s ones ok the ones ending in pence they're not perfect but will do
    so thanks to the above for their input and help
    thanks to the original rom uploader for the cloud 999 roms
    anybody else let us know...
    and of course @Wizard, i'm sure if he was still here he'd of sorted this chr issue with another mfme update or three but it is what it is and its members like above that are pushing mfme to its limits and further!!!
    the downloads come in three sections
    1. 2p- £2.40
    2. 2p-5p - £3
    3. 10px2 (don't know why there's two 10p versions maybe a different rom set @Ginge answers please, and a 20p/£6
    hopefully everything works and pays what it states on the decals let us know if not please...
    shortcuts are as standard (again @Ginge you'll need to redo the coin and collect shortcuts again)
      Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!!

  9. £8 TOP TENNER DX

    thanks and respect to wizard. what a legend.
    thanks to @dad for very kindly providing me with the .psd for his exceptional reels in his £10 dx. and also to @Liverpool2008 for the incredible images provided and his continued attempts to help with more to make these super 48mp images perfection...
    this is a SUPER HIGH RES IMAGE, it's made with arcade sim in mind and for the cabinet users at home, it's a whopping 43mb .fml so be aware when downloading..
    IF LIKE ME YOU ARE ONLY 1080p, I STRONGLY SUGGEST DOWNLOADING THE DX09 BY @dad £10 VERSION, IT'S GLORIOUS! AS ARE ARE THE MANY EXISTING VERSIONS
    this has blended lamps and different features to the £10/15 versions, no MEGA CASH, the notes now are only used as the bank!! but it looks great in attract mode!!
    this is the first of many upcoming super hd images that i'm releasing using the images from liv2008.. they all exist already in some form but the releases i produce will be awesome so obviously it's worth my time and effort
    thanks also to the previous releasers of this game as lamping mpu4 was tricky.... or i just found it hard haha..

  10. Grab The Bank DX by Multi Retro Man

    Part touchpad and part mouse created (much faster with the mouse) I'm pleased to release Grab The Bank. The original image I used was not very good so I managed to edit out all the lighting issues and tried to get it to look as realistic and as good as it can be. The hammers I managed to find from a YooToob video and did a screenshot of it and managed to edit it and used it in this machine.
    Okay, so as always, the first and always will be first thanks, go to the late and great Wizard for this superb emulator.
    I started this a while ago and thank everyone for their input and help that they've given me (please accept my apologies for not tagging you but I forgot who did what; I blame my age!).
    I find it a slightly confusing machine to play at times but with the odd bit of luck, I got the jackpot a couple of times.
    Anyhow, as always, hope you enjoy this one and I really enjoyed making this one.

  11. Spiker The Biker - £5, £15 and £25 4K DX

    Here's a trio of Spiker The Biker layouts, made using my photos that I took at Skirlington Leisure Park. At least I think that's what it is called. It did have a retro arcade section but based on recent videos it looks like it's no longer running retro machines. Let that serve as a reminder to people - grab resources while you can, you never know if you'll see the machine again
    Anyway - back on topic. Layouts are £5/10p (I'd suggest upping to 20p if you want a faster game), £15/30p (you can drop to 25p if you want a slower game) and £25/30p (again - you could run at 25p but I prefer the speed of 30p at the higher jackpot).
    It's a brilliant machine in my opinion - I owned one years and years ago and still kick myself for selling it. Must be coming up to 20 years now since I owned it. For some reason it was never cloned. I'm sure others from the same era weren't either, but I don't get why it didn't perform that well. It's got a cracking sound package, decent art, interesting upgrade system, and quite a few 'hidden' things.
    Maybe it didn't do very well as it's a bit predictable - but I used to feel very 'safe' playing it?
    Hopefully the layouts are fully working with no issues - I've had a few lovely people - @Mort and @Boulderdash - cast their eyes over slightly earlier versions and they both picked a few issues up which I hope I've now corrected. Knowing me however I've probably introduced more issues as I've made those corrections. Fingers crossed I haven't!
    Some of the suggestions made I have not implemented but I will definitely consider implementing some of the ideas on future layouts!
    Thanks for @logopolis for providing a couple of different ROMsets for me - the £5 and £15 are running early ROMs (named : BIKE) - which is odd as I've only ever seen ROMs named SBTR before? The £25 layout runs the SBTR ROMs as the earlier ROMs aren't switchable for £25.
    Thanks to Adam on Facebook - I think he might be a member but he's not made himself known on here. He sent me great photos of his decals, insisted it was no bother and he wanted to help. Got me a bit more motivated to complete this release as without those decals it would have been £5 only and the decals I originally had looked terrible!
    Thanks to @Reg for the site. I'll still tag him even though the account is closed. Thanks to @Wizard as always for MFME and the last 20+ years.
    Thanks to everyone else who puts up with me and my ridiculously off-tangent WIP threads, waffling posts like this one, and who downloads and plays this release.
    Regrets? I built the layout on a tatty old 22" 1920x1080p display and only when I moved it up to my 65K 4K TV last night did I spot even more issues. From now on I will exclusively design on that screen, at 4K, from the off. Way, way easier to spot issues. Probably would have allowed me to get a more even result as well. Working on large art on a small screen at about 1/2 resolution makes no sense. In edit mode you can only see a teeny bit at a time

    Enjoy what is left of your bank holiday - and if you find any issues do let me know! I'll swear, punch my monitor, and then fix them (in that order)

    *NOTE* - I have unpacked the blended lamps, but this might be a bit hard for older / non-gaming PCs to run, especially during busy lamp cycles (jackpot sequence e.t.c.).
    Runs fine on my old and new gaming machines at 1080p and 4K respectively. If needs be I can release a fix with no blended lamps for those who need it. Will see what the feedback is like first.

  14. Barcrest's Weird Wolf.

    Right, first things first. It's pretty janky. I could have spent more time and effort, but for the images available and that being the reason nobody wanted to embarrass themselve's with it, so I've taken one for the team.😂
    Base image looked OK until lamping, so had to chop cash stack images from Vectra's Vamp It Up as using fonts it looked really out of whack. Symbols for the feature 'HOT' are actually stock images of jean rivets, FFS.😂 This whole thing is literally an exercise in me wanting the final piece of the Barcrest red and blue trail machines, regardless of how that was going to happen.
    It's best on a laptop which hides some things better. Such as not masking the inner trails. I have other things waiting that are far more deserving of the effort really as this was never going to be perfect.
    Added coin inputs 9=50p, 8=20p.
    Massive thanks to:
    @Mavroz for the classic and assisting with my questions and a really great conversation regarding MFME history etc. Top bloke.👍
    @vectra666 for helping with advice and issues I had relating to lamps, and for the bits I pilfered from VIU.
    @Amusements for a great resource for adding extra coin inputs.
    @edwardb for really interesting thread on how anti stats code works and why on some machines a multiple coin input is a nessecity.
    @infection for his archiving of images in Infections Images section. Always worth looking through just to find machines you may have forgotten about if nothing else.
    Also thanks to the community on here that inspire doing this.
    Anyone thinking of giving it a go should really consider it. If you choose something like this un DX'ed it kind of gives you a good chance to cut your teeth as at least it's something.

    had this knocking about for a while and despise the gameplay so much wasn't going to do the extra stake/prize ratios, as is i do have the decals for £8 but not £15. happy to give the art to someone if they want to bother with it haha.. seriously does anyone have a method for this clone of spice is right???
    the only reason i did it at all is the monty pyhton theme..
    still it works, looks good and is now off my hands allowing me to focus on my next and favourite game (top 3)

  17. Rio Grande £1000

    thanks to wizard always..
    thanks to @JamieGTR for providing me in situ hi res images and many many more of my little requests were accommodated also... thanks bud
    thanks to @Clo06 who got the pesky meters running for me, a simple fix i imagine but when you don't know there's always clo to help..
    against jamie's wishes i've left the garage background in place as i like to think its more realistic to the viewer. i did ponder on whether to do some side art for the gamble wheel art to be enlarged and also to allow for the meters to be in view during gameplay but i've been offline for ages and tbh i have been delaying this for long enough.
    the nudge font is not the same and is a sympathetic attempt to match it as best i could, happy to allow any bored fml heads with spare time to reproduce and improve.
    thanks to the previous dx/classic designers who had a £500 version in the legacy section with which i was able to find lamp numbers and test etc.
    small changes made to existing reel bands to improve the resolution on the wild and rio grande symbols.. imho i think the reels i made may have a few off pixel placements but it may also be my eyesight!!
    please feel free to send any mistakes that need improving as usual i will eventually do what i can to make them better.
    i have another glorious wip in the making with thanks to another user, it's not far off but i'm doing more health things that are taking me away from the screen and mfme i adore.

  18. Jolly Joker £4.80 Dx

    Was a bit nervous as is my first time with this so didn't want to screw it up uploading it, if I have made a mistake anywhere please let me know.
    Now on to the layout, by @bungle and myself. We were going to do the original cab but have done it this way as not only is it my first release but most importantly we are dedicating this to @Wizard as if it wasn't for him this wouldn't be happening.
    Looking forward to a few more of these and will be honest I nearly lost it trying to sort the bits and pieces out but Bungle was quite patient with me so massive thanks to him as did Pm @Reg around March last year and wanted to do a Xmas release for 2020 but things got in the way and I was a bit lazy, was intending to do a classic of something but someone talked me out of it.
    This is set at 20p play with a £4.80 Jackpot and I have a serious history with this machine which most of you already know, so finally the thanks,
    @bungle for his patience with me and great help in making this come alive.
    @slasher who has helped me understand the emulator a lot better when it comes to designing as he really started the ball rolling with me.
    @Reg for initially giving me the confidence last year (sorry for the delay)
    and finally Wizard who has made my dreams come true with this world, this is dedicated to you bud and done my own edition.

  19. £15/£25 CODFATHER DX

    Thanks wizard for this passion of mine.
    Thanks to various layout designers including, @Tommy c whose reels and layout i have used to find lamp numbers and guidance.
    I'm thankful to the person who made the symbols so much better than the original options available, unsure who that was but i've used them from various layouts here and there and also a big up to any reel creators out there... Getting them in line, making sure they're the same size, across the 3 reels is not a simple task... i've done my best.
    there are 3 options. the £15 has a happy and unhappy ram, you might like to do it yourself, the £25 is happy and 4 reds to the good so enjoy or ram clear it to start from the beginning..
    there is a issue when it gives hints on the reels due to the big fish not being connected to the game it stutters a bit but doesn't effect gameplay in anyway.
    after watching a video of this WHICH IS COMEDY GOLD BY THE WAY, it is lamped differently than i have done it but bugger it this looks fine hahah
    feedback welcomed and appreciated when it's positive  haha

  22. High Rise £4.80/£6.00 Dx's

    Here's something special for the early may bank holiday to relive your youth (if old like me) or just to have a nice good old fashioned play
     High Rise by Barcrest is a game of Hi Lo, two of them. in fact i read somewhere it was the first machine to have dual Hi Lo reels within?
    This machine featured in Coronation Street where it sat in Gail's Cafe and her son Nick became Addicted to fruities, probs for only a week going by soapland storylines.
    still not found the Youtube footage of it yet?
    anyways enough Waffling now the credits
     First Thanks to @Reg for bringing up the machine in a recent topic which included the flyer (which i'll upload to this topic in a mo)asking for it to be re-emulated, I hope i've done it justice!!
     @CompostCORNER - classic layout, Image Dynamics for the Dx i used as a base including most of the reel symbols (jackpot homemade from image)
     Slotto from the mecca for uploading the main image used in producing this gem
    and of course @Wizard for mfme's past n present
    i think the coin inputs are now correct as i've used mpu4 token from the drop down list as the standard 20 was for 20p's (change yours @Reg if needed)
    shortcuts are as standard but are listed within the £4.80 version.
     The Hi Lo's are as followed Red Hi = 4, Lo = 5, Green Hi = 6, Lo = 7
     Plays in Mfme 20.1
      Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!!

    Road trip back to the 90's...if only.
    There's a perfectly good example from @Ploggy, but this might be a little clearer on big screens just because the advances in image software and emulator since then.
    Massive thanks to;
    @vectra666 for his assistance in fixing a few snags regarding the hi lo reel and his pointers along the way when needed.
    @steve phipps for the classic.
    @Ploggy for the reels and original layout.
    @slotsmagic and @dad for extra image resources.
    And anyone in the thread pointing out things which were incorrect such as top glass sizing.
    Controls are;
    SPACE = Start.
    ` = Collect/Cancel.
    1,2,3 = corresponding reel.
    E = Exchange.
    0 = £1
    9 = 50p
    8 = 20p
    7 = 10p
