i got this for the zx spectrum after playing it to death in the arcade...

when i ordered it  i even modded a quick shot joystick by super gluing the top of a toy uzi gun  to it..

when it arrived there was no sound for the 48k version .

:~(

Just returned from a few days away with the Kids in Great Yarmouth. Used to go here every year with my parents, sometimes twice a year. There were hundreds of arcades in holiday camps, sea fronts. Gorleston, Caister, Hemsby, California  - all with magical memories. Track and field, Ghosts and Goblins, Gaplus, Boot Hill, Rescue, Super Sprint, Rainbow Islands, Mad Planets - All bring back vivid thoughts of a certain arcade, at a certain time, with a certain person.

Anyway, it breaks my heart to see the familiar arcades of the 80's changed into ticket vending places - not a retro machine in site. Played an  Each way Shuffle by Ace that had been updated but, after £1, I gave up. I need to go to Arcade Club in Bury

theres probably loads of people with the nickname bagpuss, I only know one, are you the bagpuss that lived in north wales near rhyl?

This is my MAME machine nearly finished now mainly cosmetic work to do on it Hyperspin is running well Windows is on SSD so it is up and running in no time at all just need to put Hyperspins short cut in start up folder to boot straight in to Hyperspin all hand built by me with limited space and limited tools (do not have router or plunge/chop saw) but I am well chuffed how it's turned out

Gauntlet.  A game I loved but was sadly no good at.  Great concept of allowing you to stay alive with extra coinage

One I never played in the arcade, but played the 8 bit and 16 bit versions a hell of a lot.

Wizard is about to die... Surely is one of the most well known sounds from video games of the 80s.
