  1. The FME scene used to have a 3 year rule where we couldn't emulate new machines, well Yuzu were giving patches to the new Zelda game 2 weeks before official release cos it was leaked, BUT that was behind a paywall, (Patreon) then Super Mario Wonder was leaked, cant blame them TBH
  2. Does Windows not have the option when running 2 monitors, to make 1 large display? then just make mfme full size and should be on 2 windows.
  3. Thank you for this, I use Launchbox/bigbox for my games, but not really thought about MFME, will give it a shot. Can launchbox scrape fruit machines? I use emumovies as a scraper? Cheers Pete
  4. I remember years ago, it was either a coronation street or eastenders maygay rolled in 3 £6 jackpots in succession, If i had done this method, would more have rolled in? Great video, mental that a 5p machine could do that!!
  5. Mate, I am 51 and probably similar age to you, so sad, i will post my story one day, went to GA in the early days, and all we talked about was the wins out of the allotted time, then it was denial, I feel you have to hit ROCK BOTTOM, before you do something, I believe i hit 2 times, lost my house, then lost my partner. I know this is an emulation site and all that , but maybe @REG can maybe have a separate section for this stuff. Pete

    The MiSTer FPGA

I always have trouble with Amiga, end up binning everytime, had launchbox, coin ops but cos of different disks it goes pear shaped! and i grew up with an Amiga (50 now) so pinball dreams, cannon fodder, giana sisters, rainbow islands were my go to games. Pete
  7. Thanks for this Mort, I havent tried outrun SP as I have C2C but may give it a whirl, only game I have played on TeknoParrot is Star Wars Pod, I live in Blackpool and theres 2 but missed em during lockdown, but its not the same as being immersed lol, but a great guide! Pete

    The MiSTer FPGA

Haha My head was saying dismiss this as another Pi clone, but I had never heard of this and im on quite a few emulation groups, I am now looking into ordering one of these after I attempt at building a pinball cab. I have a Pi conected to my main TV and it just doesn't feel right so cheers Pete

    Amiga Mods

Fairlight also known as FLT are still going strong, used to crack C64 and Amiga amongst other systems, always had a cool demo running before the trainer. Edit - They also have an active Facebook group where they reminisce the 'Good old days' haha
  10. Just watched the Omega Video, great game to play, as were all the Maygays at the time, I live in Blackpool and ye you are correct, the Golden Mile place was originally called Mr B's then changed its name to Mr T's for a reason I still dont know today, also where the new building is being built, that was the Palace nightclub building, there used to be be Purple Penny arcade at the base but that was many moons ago, where the arcade was, a gift shop, and B & Ms behind, probably not an arcade for, say 15 years.

    Wine for Wizard

Thanks for the emulator Chris, been about for about 15 years or so, but have always used it, has given me so much pleasure, have a wine on me
  12. Ive just had a £16 streak so my machine will be dead now, I forgot how hard the skill shot is on this machine!!!
  13. This was a great game to play in the day, Coral Island had a row of them, you needed plenty of cash though, but the repeats could be mental, nothing like we had seen, think the most I had was £26, but that was a fortune haha, nearest I remember was all cash advance which could hit £14 if you were lucky,
  14. I really didn't mind tokens, in Blackpool tokens were tied to the brewery, so if you won in say a Scottish & Newcastle pub, all tokens would work in their pubs, that is Blackpool used to have loads of pubs. Also during the £4.80 days, pubs used to have 7 heaven/ Cloud 999/ Blue Moons and when they streaked you could usually recycle and and get money back plus more tokens, again this was in Blackpool where in the season, machines were very well played, so my memories of tokens and lower jackpots were good, and was the only time I used to make some money. BUT I like yourself and many more lost thousands in the long run.
  15. Great video, loved this game, they used to be in a few pubs in Blackpool, used to be great for beer tokens haha. I also seem to remember a very similar game, same cab with a cashpot, but instead of repeats, used to hold for fun, especially mixed 7s, where after a nudge, instead of holding, let em spin and jackpot would roll in., and usually hold.

    80's arcade games

Living in Blackpool, seen so many, Gorf in the swimming pool café, like Pook says , Dragon Lair was real!! Space Harrier and Out run sit down cabs. also lots of memories of playing 1942 in Funland before it burnt down, BUT Star Wars (sit down) in Mr B's arcade, PBB was the Hi Score all time.
  21. Great video there, I found the scene just too late for those shenanigans , during the fruit forum latter days.
  22. The difference is, now days its big money , 70 or 100 jackpot,if a machine has been emptied, or 'done' then there is no enjoyment for the casual punter.
  23. This is why the fruities are on their arse, manufacturers let this happen, similar thing on a flicker, put 40 thru, jackpot, joke. should have learnt 1st time, but released more, same coding vulnerable.

Sounds a blast, i will go down freemont street as to me thats the the original Las Vegas!!! I also would like to visit the neon museum which I think houses all the old signage from yesteryear. Oh and a visit to see Chumlee at the old silver and gold pawn shop from the Pawn Stars series.
