  1. Feel free to use any of my work, as WAC said maybe fully lit would look better.
  2. 'A small emulation scene that's been running for over 10 years' should be 'A small emulation scene that's been running for almost 20 years' People who will read this will be speccy enthusiasts, so will have nostalgia spanning about 82-87, maybe that can be reflected in the images and include a machine from that era.
  3. Remember folks, there's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people.
  4. This one? I never knew roms were available. I do have a flyer, it's not the best but it's doable.
  5. I remember playing a lo-tech that always had crappy miniature carriage clocks, can't remember the name but maybe a Barcrest, did they do a prize version of Nickelodeon? My memory fails me. What's on is due for a revamp I reckon.
  6. Beautiful looking machine!
  7. Daley Thompson's Decathlon, used to turn the QS2 upside down holding the base and wiggle the stick, no wonder we bust loads. Only used it for those games and 2 player ones. Something about the rubber keys and spacing of keyboard made QAOPSpace work so well.
  8. Must've bust a few Quickshot 2s in my time also.
  9. Addons for the speccy seemed like sci-fi back in the day, a mate had one of those thermal foil printers which I always wanted. But I got revenge when I got a spec-drum. Also currah speech addon, a few games supported this, twin kingdom valley springs to mind.
  10. Mike was a designer in the early days, very talented guy who drew from scratch a few machines to high quality, Monopoly 60, Monopoly Club, Spoof, Rocky Horror, Silver Shadow & Shock n Roll all spring to mind. He helped me a few times getting my head around Photoshop, I had one of those eureka 'oh I get it now' moments when he sent me one of his PSD's layers intact so I could play around and see how he had made it. Nice fella, shame he isn't active anymore.
  11. I've been on the look out for decent art for this machine for years with no joy. Not seen that versions before, looks like art ripped from MJ's redraw. I'd love to get hold of his base art before he shruk in down.
  12. Ok, don't go busting your balls just on a small audience. Took me 30mins to knock up that example, I can't even comprehend the intricacies of your end of the stick.
  13. I also like the idea of animated buttons, I know they were added in previous versions but they just distorted the existing bmp. If an option was given for a custom bmp in one of the on lamps so it didn't activate when the lamp came on but only when pressed. I dabbled with this on Subbuteo, video attached to show effect. I won't release with this as it's a bit odd as it looks like button depressed when lamp flashes but it shows what it could potentially look like. What do you reckon @Wizard, possible? anibutt.mp4
  14. My first computer was a ZX81 1k with the expansion in the back, then onto Speccy, starting with 16k across all variations up to 128k. Used to steal my sisters ghetto blaster with 2 tape decks are charge 20p a game copied at school during break. Teacher confiscated it one day and my dad had to go in to collect it, my sister was pissed lol. Kinda missed out on all the 8bit stuff I think I found girls, and didn't get back into gaming until the megadrive era. As WAC, I go in and out of emulation, got a nvidia shield as a streaming box so play about with hyperspin on that and also have a Pi3, downloaded an 8gig image soley for the speccy with everything ever done. Looking for and loading games I played as a kid is great fun but because the choice is massive I never stick with anything too long and always find myself going back to the same 5 games, Maniv Miner, Jet Pac, 3D Deathchase, Wheelie & Bruce Lee
  15. Thanks for that lot @Reg, I'll look into doing the other 2 DXs, if no source art about I'll play about with what I have, see if I can't fashion something up.
  16. Choked on my toast watching you trying to fill 'futuristic' ?
  17. Go for it Reg. I doubt I'll convert/update these old JPeMu release of mine as my style has changed a bit over the years (what was I thinking with those cabs!) A few more recent ones I'll convert Red Alert & Firecrakcer Clubs as I moved away from this style by then. Some older ones I really like I might looking into redoing from scratch.
  18. Thanks Choppers, good old Tony was the one who inspired me, he must be on commission.
  19. I'm still running CS3, is there a massive advantage upgrading to CS6 J? I'm sure I only use part of it's potential now.
  20. Haha, think you were the only one who bought these. Now where's Scotty with all the others?
  21. I used to have a meet the designers page and that was your pic!
  22. Seriously though why would you even keep that on your HDD for 15yrs. Ah Ranting Maniac, what the hell was that about! Jackpot tune remixes were on my old site, various people made and submitted like John Rugg, Fishta, Cheese & Monserat. But my favourite was always this by Guyslotter. blackjackclubguy.wma
