  1. Sorry, probably a silly question but what is a triac and how do you know if the layout is using?
  2. This board is not supported by MFME You need the pacdrive special type to drive lamps and hoppers and an I-Pac for button inputs
  3. Hi Jargs I have attached some photos of my build. So i bought a working devil of a deal machine for £20 and removed the main playing field and all of the internals other than the coin mech and hopper. Although the lower playing field isn't relevant to every game i still light the lamps that are relevent to the game that's being played. I'm using 4 pac drives to run the lamps and hopper. Don't make the same mistake i did and order the special type that boot with the outputs switched off or your hopper will start paying out once the machine is swicthed on. I use an ipac keyboard emulator for the button inputs. The pc is i5 dell i got second hand on Ebay
  4. Awesome thanks that works. Looks like i was struggling as when the hopper is empty the test button wont work until you refill by pressing R.
  5. So I've managed to get this working now. Compact hopper mk2'S i bought had a fault on the coin counting circuit causing a dead short. I've bought a mk1 and it's working fine and a key input is registered on the ipac when a coin exits. The hopper is wired into pac drive 4 channel 16. When pressing test on that channel it works. If i press test hopper nothing happens and when the machine pays out nothing happens either. Are there any other settings i need to change?
  6. Legend thanks. this worked with no issues for me
  7. This is the power supply with a maximum of 5 amps. At the time of photo it was set to low amps but i changed that.
  8. Can anyone help me get this hopper running? I've connected pin 1 to 24v and pin 2 to 0. Pin 3 and 4 aren't connected. Was running when in a machine that i no longer have to test. If im understanding the manual correct i just need to apply power for it to start spinning but i does not. Gears and motor are free to move. I get a small jolt of movements when turning on sometimes
  9. Hi All, Are there any tips or tricks when it comes to configuring lamp outputs? Currently i'm going into the layout edit to find the lamp number then setting the lamp output manually and repeating this for any machine i play. Same goes for setting up button inputs
  10. just stumbled across this - a screen would be awesome
  11. thanks for the positive feed back so far this layout has worked really well
  12. Hi all, Thought i'd share my first attempt at a MFME controller. I'm using - 2 x pac drives for the lamps - Ebay Link 1 x Arduino Mega for button inputs - Amazon Link 1 x Arduino Mega screw shield - Ebay Link To turn the arduino into a joy stick i use - https://github.com/AlanChatham/UnoJoy as MFME only supports keyboard inputs i also use this software https://joytokey.net/en/. I only used the arduino because i had a couple kicking around. would recommend a keyboard emulator. Couple of videos -
  13. Hey The raspberry pi is the wrong device for the job. I'm using a pac drive to run the lamps and an arduino with uno joy software for the button inputs.
  14. wow amazing thank you very much this was the first machine i ever played
  15. Hi all, Does any one know if this knight life machine has been emulated?
